July 4th Plans!!!

Just checking in to see what everyone is doing for the 4th!!! We are having our 3rd annual 4th of July party! We have invited all of our friends and family, as we do every year. The parties can get a bit crazy! We usually grill out, drink, play cornhole, volleyball, the kids play water games, and we have a go kart and a 4-wheeler we try to race! Once the sun goes down we get ready for the fireworks. We live in the rural part of town. We have a little over 5 acres and everyone plans to camp out this year! It should be so much fun. I am picturing tents and campers set up all over my yard! HA!

My FI went to Indiana last night to buy some fireworks! He came home with the back of his truck loaded! He knows the guy who owns this fireworks store and the owner actually designs his own fireworks. I guess this past year he spent 1.5 million having them made in China! Anyways, FI said he was just picking out a few large packages when the owner came up to him and started loading up his cart. FI only paid $265 for the fireworks he purchased. When he got home we figured out that everything he brought home should have been $716!!! We are going to have the best fireworks in town!!!

Happy 4th everyone!thewave.gif

Oh I have some exciting plans, at 10:00 am we are heading to a couple that is interested in adopting our current foster (they already met him, we have to see if he gets along with their dogs before they adopt) Then at 1:00 we have to be back at our house because a new foster dog is being dropped off, and if that isn't exciting enough later on in the evening we have to drive out to some womens house that is 31 weeks pregnant and on bedrest because she wants to donate a couple crates to our rescue group. So yeah exciting times for us.. lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
