WORTH EVERY PENNY - DON'T SETTLE FOR THE RESORT PHOTOGRAPHERS WHEN THERE ARE PEOPLE LIKE KATYA AND ROB TO DOCUMENT AND DIFFERENTIATE YOUR WEDDING

When my husband and I decided to have a destination wedding, we began looking at the photographers available at the Hard Rock Punta Cana.  The prices were average and the portfolios were below average.  While budget is important, we knew that photography was just as important as the venue.  From the moment we saw Katya Nova Photography's website, we knew that we had to have them.  The photography spoke to us - By the end of every single wedding or blog post, we needed more.  We were so lucky to book them!  The communication was great all the way up to the wedding day when we finally got to meet the two of them.  Katya and Rob worked within our wedding schedule, which was split into a 2PM ceremony and 6PM cocktail hour/reception.  

From the moment Katya showed up to our bridal room, I was immediately at ease about the day.  She worked her butt off in capturing beautiful moments, but also acted as a maid of honor, suggesting ideas and relaxation techniques. Rob stayed with the men and you could tell they all loved him.  All the way through the day, Katya and Rob had our 70 guests laughing, smiling, and having the time of their lives.  It was the best party and the greatest moments were captured on film.  Katya stayed with me for most of the night, making suggestions and keeping my day perfect.  It felt like I had a personal assistant!  She even helped keep us happy and calm when the rain poured down and we had to move our reception indoors.  

I am not a girlie girl so I struggled with most of wedding planning.  The decision to go with Katya and Rob was the easiest choice to make.  I didn't want a cheesy photo album from my wedding with standard pictures.  Katya and Rob are beautiful people who LOVE life and it shows through in their photography.  Now, I wish I could do it all over again, just so that we can see them and spend more time with them.  The funny part is that every bride's review of Katya Nova Photography has this same, real emotion.  Katya and Rob aren't JUST photographers, they are wonderful people who love love :)  I continue to look at their blog to keep viewing all of their photographic stories.  

One last tip: DO THE ROCK THE DRESS SESSION!  My husband and I decided to do a sunrise shoot the morning after our wedding.  It was intimate, sexy, warm, and champagne filled :)  It was the only time during the destination wedding weekend that were about my husband and I.  I didn't want to at first, because my mom didn't want me to ruin my dress.  Some decisions aren't going to make everyone happy.  Until they see the pictures, that is.  You won't regret it!
