Pros: Excellent Staff, Gorgeous grounds, Perfect pools, Ocean, Delicious Food, total relaxation and happiness...just perfect!!
Cons: NONE.

Sanctuary gave us the wedding of our dreams.  This resort is not too big, not too small, it's the perfect size resort for a wedding.  Style is Spanish colonial, tastefully done.  The gardens and entire grounds are so well kept, it feels like you're in a dream.  The pools are perfect - we had 100 people at our wedding and we all got to hang out together - but there was privacy if you wanted it because they have 3 pools.  One large pool, 2 smaller, more adult pools.  There IS an ocean (so I'm not sure what this reviewer before me is talking about!!)  There's a small private beach on the resort that's great for a dip, building sandcastles, swimming, whatever you could possibly want.   ALSO, there's Juanillo Beach next to the resort - where we went everyday to walk, and on our last day we rented a kayak over there.    No, it's not a loud spring break type place where you can rent jetskis on the beach - but I liked that.  It's more chill, quiet, and relaxing - and upscale - it's what I want formy vacation.  I don't know about you but I've been to those type resorts and I find them soooo tacky.  It's an amazing property and somehow ranked 24 on here - I don't know how, but  my guess is that it's Punta Cana's best kept secret.  Cap Cana isn't like other Punta Cana resorts, and thank God for that.  It's upscale, it's private, it's gorgeous.  I will never return to any other Punta Cana property because I value my time and don't want to spend it surrounded by drunk, spring breakers, looking to hook up.  Or, tacky sunburnt tourists who spend all day eating the buffet.

Anyway back to our wedding.  The ceremony was on the "Big Island" because we had 100 guests.  Cocktail hour and Reception were at "Seaside Terrace" which had breathtaking views of ocean and entire property.   I have other reviews on this forum and I've also reviewed it on TripAdvisor.   Consider this for your wedding destination - you won't be disappointed!!

Who was your wedding coordinator, and how was their response time to you questions as you began solidifying your plans?

all wedding planners in the DR take TONS of time to respond, it is a different culture and today means tomorrow lol. They are great though. I'm planning my wedding there for fall 2016, and got a chance to visit the grounds and get a tour in May and it is amazing. It does not feel crowded it is so beautiful, and the planner im working with Maria Alejandra is sweet. It takes her a while to answer but like i said thats the way it goes there.

How was your wedding? I am thinking about having my wedding at this location but i have heard that the location is great but the food and customer service was terrible.
