AWhen we got engaged this spring, we knew we wanted to get married in Mayan Rivera Mexico. We pretty quickly selected our resort, the Bluebay Grande Esmerelda, because we wanted the 12/12/12 date and only a few still had spots available. My biggest concern was the photos! I mean these pictures last forever, and I was worried about not getting what I wanted because of a language barrier. When I found Lori online I was amazed! Her photos were bright, natural and had the exact character I wanted to capture on my special day! I gave my family and husband a couple photographers to choose from and we were all in agreement that she "was the one". Lori was super easy to deal with in the booking process, always returned my emails, and even answered some questions I had about destination weddings. She emailed with my mom over some family concerns and went above and beyond in all our dealing from afar. What really impressed me Is that she had a detailed form about the shots I wanted and had all the names of my family so she could call people out by name when we were trying to get those family shots organized. On the day of the wedding my dad caught her arriving early to scope out good photo locations. She arrived at my room with no help and instantly fit in and got to work. It didn't feel invasive at all, she was out of the way but capturing those small special l moments between my friends and family. She even reassured my mom that, her hair looked great!" Which my mom really needed to hear! Even while I was dressing I felt completely comfortable!! During the wedding I didn't even notice the photographers, she was so discreet. I hate it when I go to wedding and the photographer is distracting the guests during the ceremony, she was the best I have ever seen about drawing no attention that she was taking photos. That was super important to me so it was perfect! After the ceremony, Tanya and Lori got to work quickly because it was obvious that it was going to rain. Somehow due to their quick work, and getting people's attention nicely the got our group shot and most of the family photos before it rained! They also called our family by name that was so sincere and special and kind and I couldn't imagine it any other way! Since it was pouring we were forced inside and Lori found some beautiful and creative places where we could get some photos. Lori was so reassuring and help us get the right looks , pose and help me hide the cut I got on my hand. When it finally stopped raining Lori had such great attention to detail, she noticed a small rainbow across the sky and helped us run over spew could hopefully capture the moment. She helped us find, natural and creative poses, places and helped us to get the best expressions. Lori and Tanya were AMAZING!! Book them before someone else does for your special day! The only regret I have about my whole wedding is not having them capture my reception. I'm my family we have several good amateurs photographers and i got their commitment ahead of time to catch images, however they got busy enjoying the evening, as they should, and the lighting was dark and only a few good images were caught and no great ones. I should have had them longer in retrospect so they could catch those natural fantastic reception fun times! Thank you Lori
