Hello brides and grooms,

I recently had the pleasure of have Katya and Rob photograph my destination wedding April 10th, 2012.  I was very fortunate that they were able to photograph my wedding as normally photographers need to be booked a year in advance and I had requested them only 7mths prior due to un-easy feelings with a prior photographer.

Katya was more than accommodating and understanding even though it really had nothing to do with her.  I was ecstatic to have the wonderful opportunity for my special day to be captured by these two very wonderful people.  Of course there is the risk of 'never meeting your photographers until the day of' which my now-husband was a little worried but even he was VERY impressed at the arrival of Katya and Rob, amd even more impressed when we received our disk.  Not only did they keep their professionalism but you could see the joy in their eyes to be present at yet another happy milestone in a persons life, as well as they could connect as their wedding was to be only a few short days after ours.  I only communicated with Katya via e-mail prior but she was not shy and a joy to have around.  The loving person via e-mail is the same in person.

We decided on a destination wedding as we had already been together and thought of ourselves as husband and wife for some time and had 2 young children so wanted to keep the wedding small and personal.  Only our family and a couple of our closest friends made the journey out to Punta Cana with us.  I explained that our daughters were quite shy so if they aren't cooperating then just let them be.  And of course the girls were even more shy than usual as they were ready to get out of the heat.  But Katya and Rob didn't fail ;)  They didn't pressure the girls to do anything and yet still managed to get a few really good shots of them with my husband, by the wedding cake, with myself and walking down the aisle.  That meant a lot to us as our girls are the centre of our universe.  As I said our group was small and we had a picture of EVERY one of our guests.

As for the creativeness and originalness.... well how many wedding photos have you seen where the bride and groom have a popcorn fight?? Best photos EVER!!!  Price???  I rather not speak about actual costs, but I think that the rates that Katya and Rob have set (for 2 experienced photographers) are more than fair and you will be very happy with the final results.  And when compared to other wedding photographers (including the ones locally here in Alberta, Canada)  they have competitive rates. 

The ONLY con I can possibly have about my experience is that I could not fit a trash the dress session into the short amount of time we had available.  But that was no fault of the photographers.  Our wedding wasn't until our 2nd last day at the resort as we were only staying for a week.  Katya had several suggestions but the timing just wouldn't work with our flight time/day.  Otherwise they were and are everything that they advertise to be and send an e-mail IMMEDIATELY if you are at all interested in their work.  From the bottom of my heart, I can promise you will not be disappointed!!
