Caribbean Emotions

Where do I begin…   I started my destination wedding planning exactly one year from our wedding date.  The minute I saw Dreams Punta Cana Resorts Wedding Gazebo I was in love.  I told myself This is it. No need to look at any other resorts.  I checked the reviews prices etc…. everything panned out.  Once We booked our wedding I decided to work on the reception, details & of course the photographer.  I joined a few blogs, FB , BDW, etc….  I came across a few brides who spoke very highly of these two brothers who owned a company called Caribbean Emotions. 

I did my own investigation and I was hooked.  I was like a groupie. LOL  I would watch every video, slide show, pic preview.  I couldn’t wait to see what was coming next.  We probably had 9 or more months to go when I decided they are definitely going to do my wedding.  Punta Cana has many people to choose from but these guys are the best………   I emailed them my inquires. We emailed each other back and forth a few times. We decided on a package, completed the form they sent, made my down payment via PayPal and voila I was done. 

I continued to watch every wedding they posted just to get an idea of what I wanted & what to expect.

Fast forward……

Let me start off my saying I am not a picture person, so I was very nervous about how they would capture my day.  Upon our arrival we got a call from Pascal (one of the owners) he told us that he was looking forward to meeting us and that he would see us on our day at xxxx time.  We agreed and hung up.  On our day he arrived as promised and was ready to role.  (I will advise you ladies to prepare your things the morning of your wedding. It made my life so much easier when they arrived. I was not running around trying to lay things out for them to capture. Hehe I told you I was a groupie… so I pretty much new how and what to lay out for them from watching the videos etc…) I was getting my makeup finish when they arrived. Pascal jumped right in with his pics.  I felt so at ease with them as if we knew each other already.  Which was somewhat true do to my befriending them on Facebook. LOL  He even mentioned some of my posting when we met. I just laughed…..  My mom was like how did he know that?  I told her he’s my FB pal. LOL

Anyway, On our wedding day the sky was cloudy.  Rain was a possibility….  I was so upset and didn’t know to expect from our pics.  Well, our pic went very well, they videoed and shot pic at the same time. Sometime without us even knowing….. My son was amazed when he saw the movie, he said “I didn’t even realize the guy was filming us then, thank goodness I didn’t do anything stupid”. We did our get ready pic of me, my girls, my family. They then went to my hubby’s room and did him. They came back to us and took more pic’s as we let the suite.  When we arrived at the Gazebo they started up again. Ceremony, after the ceremony, group pic’s family pic’s and then we went to the beach to do our couples pic’s.  At one point Kevin said to me (while taking our pics) “you do know that we have kissed more today than have in our entire relationship” LOL  I told him I know right…..

Our shoot ended up with our wedding party taking group pics and a quick shout out to our friends and family for the end of our video.  Kevin said some madness at the end and I was like OMG I’m going to kill him.  Pascal asked of it was ok to leave it in the video. I said what the hay….  Just leave it. I will let Kevin live on this one. LOL  Afterwards I had second thought about it. But when we saw the finish product I was all smiles.  These guys are professionals to the highest.  They made it look as if it was planned. Everyone who saw it was convinced it was part of the act. The lay out of the video, the choice in how they used the music we provided them with (FYI, be sure to bring a CD with at least  5 songs you would like used in your movie) was on point.  I actually cried the first time I saw the movie. I was so impressed with how many details they captured.  To my fellow brides I am what my friends call “the Black Martha Stewart” so when I tell you I am a detail oriented person I mean it.  I never had to point anything out to them . they got it all.  My mom even called them label whores LOL because they shot pics of every label we had.  I told her that’s their job.

The two nights before we left the resort we met with Pascal to get our pics, etc…..  I was nervous because of the cloudy day thing (thank goodness it didn’t rain). When he open this nice sturdy black box that contained our photos I was speechless.  Without me having to say a word about the sly / clouds they already knew to jazz them up.  They gave them a vintage feel to them.  I was in love.  We got shots of them regular and then touched up pics. We even had shots that looked as if it was night time.  Beautiful......I loved them all.  The wedding album. One word… WOW! Every hand that touches it says it is top knock quality.  (full grain leather bond (thick pic’s printed on pages, flat when open pages)  The large pics are great as well. Good for framing.  Pascal told us the pics on the disk can be printed as big as the table we sat before.   The resolution was so high that I even had to lower a few to load them on certain sites that have restrictions (no biggie).

I was even able to upload them to our wedding photo site for all to see.  We made our thank you cards using our pics and even printed & framed pic’s as our favors for our NYC reception. All of which came out lovely……

 As for our Youtube video, we love it just the same.  My only gripe was the sun not being out & that I wanted a specific song for it.  Youtube does not allow it for royalty reasons so I understood that C.E. had nothing to do with it. LOL  Pascal sent me a site to choose a song.  The song we chose was just as nice. I love it. 

When people see our wedding pic’s they say  “Oh, you had one of those weddings”  LOL  I’m like, what does that mean, they respond,  you guys look like movie stars.  My reply is “that’s how we felt”.

In conclusion I must say they are not only professional, kind, easy going, talented, detail oriented….. they are part of the best of the best club………………….  You will find others that are talented, but they ARE the complete package.
