Pros: everything we were looking for and more in a resort and wedding experience.
Cons: was told at airport when we arrived that we had to pay $250 cash in order for our nanny to come into the island. which we were later told was a scam.

the hotel experience was amazing and I would highly recommend getting married there. the bugs are a bother. but you can look past that.

the airport experience upon our arrival was awful...  we were proud to tell people we were coming to get married...and they told us to open our bags and pay cash for tax on any bridal party gifts. not a nice way to be welcomed. and the $250 cash to let our nanny in.. was also a scam.

but beside the airport experience...grace bay club...hands down is one of the nicest places i have ever been..and will surely return.

HI!! I am looking at this hotel to get married, and I"m wondering what your experience was with organizing everything, getting there, did you hire a wedding coordinator etc.

Also, I'm debating whether I want a hotel like this, or an adults only. DId any of your guests stay at The Veranda? Any info would be great, as I'm also looking at the Domincan but I hear the water is spectacular in Turks.

the grace bay club is hands down the nicest on the strip. we also looked at veranda which is very nice. (and great that its all inclusive) but we were concerned about the smaller beach there. we saw a wedding party and guests be bussed to the other side of the beach where grace bay club is because the water was coming in too far to hold the wedding there. we had ours around the estate pool at grace bay club. I've read so many nice things about all the hotels on that strip...that when it comes down to it.... I believe any choice will be the right one for you. they all seem to work together down there and make sure every bride has a great experience.
