Martoca Beach Garden
Rated #1 of 47 Puerto Vallarta on BDW
The name says it all... in Spanish. ""Mar"" is sea and ""toca"" means to touch. The Garden where the sea touches. A very special ols mature Garden right on the beach in Puerto Vallarta area. We specialize in creating custom made weddings. We are anti touristy weddings. We create all weddings from scratch and since our garden is very private and surrounded by 40 to 100 year old vegetation you will feel secluded and yet, it is 30 minutes from down town. We are a full service wedding planner and venue. We provide catering, bar, concierge services and more, from start to finish the wedding will be handled with expert advisers and service providers. You have one shot at this so let us use our experience to help you get it right as we have already done for many other lovely brides. Welcome to the Martoca family.

Pros: great ocean view
Cons: lack of accountability and professionalism
My husband and I recently were married at Martoca Beach Garden in Bucerias, Nayarit on October 25th last week. We had signed a contract with the owner, James Basanez, over a year ago. The property was rented to us for $6500 USD for venue only with no other vendors/additions included as the owner could not give me direct pricing on any items. We decided to contract our own wedding planner (Kelley Kahrhoff with Younique Vallarta Weddings) and vendors and rent strictly the use of Martoca and it's fRead more...
Pros: The most beautiful and private venue you can imagine, top notch wedding planners, decorator and florists to die for, amazing food, killer DJ... No where else like it
Cons: Literally nothing
-On the wedding day, Veronica actually came to my hotel to see me, my bridal party and my family off to the venue and then stayed to ensure ALL the guest got on the bus to get over, followed by my soon to be husband and his groomsmen. This took an unbelievable amount of stress of me and allowed me to just be in the moment as we made the final touches to get ready and photos -When I showed up to the venue, there are no words to describe how perfect it was. Veronica and the Martoca team had takRead more...
Pros: Jimmy works with your budget! Magic
Martoca is such a beautiful venue for a destination wedding. We got married over Memorial weekend 2015 and everything was just what we envisioned our wedding to be and more. Our first contact was with Jimmy and he was really helpful in planning a wedding that was within our budget. He was really pleasant to work with and quickly responded to all of our questions. Odette, the wedding planner, is also a gem! We gave her an idea of what we were thinking in terms of decoration and she created this mRead more...
Pros: Friendly, responsive, detailed
I was originally planning on having a destination wedding and when I found Martoca I was beside myself. The property was unbelievable in photos and was exactly what I was looking for. I contacted Jimmy and he responded immediately (something that I was not used to having happen with other locations I had looked at). He was so friendly and helpful and started guiding me on ideas to be thinking about in our first couple of e-mails back and forth. He attached pictures of weddings that had the kRead more...
Pros: Private location, professional wedding planners and very flexible
I’m so happy I found Martoca Beach Garden for our upcoming wedding. The location and property is gorgeous and I love the fact that it will be a private ceremony without additional hotel on-lookers. James has been my wedding planner and he has truly been a joy to work with. He’s made the planning process very easy and FUN! I can’t wait for the big day. Thank you James!Read more...
Pros: Worked with our budget, easy to get in contact with, quick response time and very personable
Cons: Wedding is in 2014, meaning I have to wait a whole year! :(
Our contract is finalized and our deposit has been sent in! Such a relief to have found Martoca Beach Garden! Our wedding is about a year out and I couldn't be happier with our decision to have chosen this venue. Jimmy has been so great to work with and has really taken the stress out of everything. He was easy to get ahold of and very good at working within our budget. He listened to what we wanted, offered suggestions and helped us out with more than just our wedding event details (i.e. resortRead more...
Amazing, its how I would describe my wedding. I wasn't able to see the place till one week before the wedding, cause we live in Italy. But my Mom told me not to worry, cause the place was looking amazing. I am Mexican, my husband is Irish, and we had loads of foreign friends coming, so we were looking for a hotel, as a wedding venue, but seriously, its just too complicated, they have loads of restrictions. We stayed in a hotel around the area. And our friends choose the best option for theRead more...
Pros: Wonderful service, prompt and detailed responses, flexible, and understanding
My finace and I have been tossing up the idea of having a destination wedding for a while. We are currently suspecting that we will get married in the United States, but I was in contact with Martoca Beach Garden for a few weeks about their venue. It is beautiful and Jimmy is a very helpful person with all the wedding details. He is willing to help make your decision easier on you however he can, and completely tries to remove stress from the situation. It is possible we may change our mindsRead more...
Pros: Beach and Garden, Accommodate large or small groups, Well-manicured landscape
We got married at Martoca on Sunday, April 29th and let me just say - this venue is BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely stunning!!! Our wedding group stayed at Dreams Villamagna (which was fabulous for us, absolutely perfect for a wedding group), but we didn't want to get married at a resort because we wanted a more private event. This was a GORGEOUS venue on a much more private beach, and every single one of our guests had a fabulous time. If we had to do it all over again, we would go straight back to MartoRead more...
