Hello 2015 Brides! My wedding is next weekend and I am trying to estimate $$ for tips. We are having our reception poolside. How many bartenders and servers did you have? THANK YOU!
How long are you staying?
Between wedding and any additional days?

Wow my apologies on my typo but glad you understood.thank you!
So how far from the garden view pool is that? Did you have music during your cocktail hour?
I was hoping to use the same sound system for our reception and our cocktail hour but it sounds like that isn't an option.
I'm currently looking at the map of the complex and thinking back, I'm assuming your referring to pool #42 (swim-up pool) and if you are looking at the same map this is a very poor representation of the complex as a whole.
The garden view rooms are not next to the lobby as the map makes it seem. They have a golf cart service to take guest to and from. So essentially its a little far. Hard to put an exact number as I never walked it. But with the sun beaming down it would seem like a long walk in my personal opinion. Maybe 10-15 min depending on your pace.
We did not have music during our cocktail hour and we haven't heard any guest complain. Pretty sure the photo session is the same for everyone and in that case your photo session is during the cocktail hour so you don't spend it with your guests, at least that's how it was for us.

If i am not mistaken since the ceremony is at the ceremony the cocktail hour would be right next to it I'm what's called the garden. For past brides who had their reception at the Garden View Pool, where was your cocktail hour held?
Our ceremony is at the Fountain and our Reception is at the pool... I assume that the cocktail hour will be there also?
Thanks!
We selected the fountain as our ceremony location and that's where the cocktail hour was. It's literally right next to the fountain. On the grass area.

That pool that your seeing seems to be the most relaxing. When I walked by it, there wasn't much to going on.I am wondering if someone can tell me where exactly the relaxing pool is .. i am looking at the pools, and im wondering if its the one connected to the main pool where the bar is close to the beach??
Thanks
However, that pool is part of the preferred. So not everyone can hang out at that pool. You would need to pay the preferred pricing to gain access to that one, and the other pool which has a bar in it, I believe it's called splash but not 100% sure on the name.
PS - I still have to post my thoughts regarding our wedding. Maybe a little later today when I'm in front of my computer.

I would be more than happy to send you the word document that I wrote the longer review in. If you send me an email at [email protected], so I have your email address, I can send it to you.
Try this link to see the photos. And if it doesn't work, let me know and I will see what I can do.
It only took them a couple of days to send us the email with all of the information and the spreadsheet once we paid our deposit. They were always fairly prompt with responding to us, we usually had a response within a day or two. The only time we did not hear from them quickly, was when they had problems with their email and they never got our email. When I emailed them a couple weeks later to make sure they had gotten my last email, they responded immediately, apologizing that they had not received it. So, I would say give them a few days, but if you don't hear something within a week, it wouldn't hurt to email them and make sure they got it.
Also, do not stress about your date being booked on the website wedding calendar. Ours wasn't updated until probably 3-4 months before our actual wedding. As long as you have your date confirmed and are working with your coordinator, that's all that really matters.
Enjoy the planning process and try not to stress too much! I know it is easier said than done, but in the end everything will be beautiful!
Hi I could not see your pictures! I would love to see them! Thanks

@@DR2015 Thats great. Throughout this entire wedding planning process you get to see true colors. People are complicated! But it will def be exciting!!!!

@@DR2015 I have called her directly and that seems to work best. Same here! I plan on having about 85 guests. How big is your party?

@@TinaBanita19 hello our wedding is May 1st, we are flying in our photographer from "home" and using DJ Mannia. I found flying in a photographer and using a outside DJ to be cheaper than using the resort.
Does any one have Francina for their coordinator?!
Hi DR2015! My wedding is in August and Francina is my coordinator. She has been really helpful until now. How has it been for you?

@@kosrae89 thanks for sharing all about your wedding day! I am getting married at now in November and am considering doing welcome bags. What did you include in yours? Or if anyone else has welcome bag ideas/pics please let me know...
Hi! I am having my wedding Aug. 8 and considering welcome beach totes. Some things I plan to include are a Bubba so guests can keep their drinks cold, pain killers, sunscreen, alka seltzer. Want to add more but not sure yet. Any suggestions are welcome

For me it was a little different because I tipped before during and after wedding to various different people.
Specifically tips related to wedding and reception we probably tipped $75-100. This was mainly because we didn't pay for premium alcohol but I was able to convince the guy who setup the bar to put 3 bottles of Johnnie Walker black label without paying the fee for premium liquor for cocktail hour and for reception.
At the reception, We had 1 guy behind the bar and I want to say maybe 5 waiters. I know at the end of everything I dropped like $30 in their tip jar in which they all share. This $30 was part of the original $75-100 mentioned above.
Hope this helps.
