I got them in Nicaragua. From a local vendor, but I bet most Latin American destinations have vendors like him.

@@cubanaboliviana I love the papel picado signs you have! did you make them yourself or source them from Etsy?
I am thinking about incorporating these as well
The papel picado with names on them costs a lot of money, so we got some wedding papel from Amols and then got just the small flags for centerpieces with our names. I made the table numbers with the date and now I have to print out engagement pictures to put in them.

Is anyone else worried about having a wrinkly dress due to the travel? I have asked all around where I am getting married and no one has steam cleaning. Is anyone buying like a small personal steam cleaner? What are you doing to ensure your dress is not looking a hot mess?

Great for the beach

Doing it as carry on and hoping it doesn't get wrinkled

I believe the lasso is where a couple puts this rope around you and your husbands shoulders and it signifies the union of the two. I believe it has to be a married couple that share a good union. I thought this was done only in catholic churches but I can be completely wrong. Hope that helps.
This is right, usually just done at Catholic churches, but I have seen people doing it at beach weddings. Why not?

I am not African American, but I plan on wearing my natural curls. The humidity is going to destroy my hair if I even try putting a flat iron on it. It makes me sad because I love my hair flat ironed with curls, but I have seen brides at the beach looking a hot mess because their hair met the elements. It’s too bad there are not more pictures online of hairstyles for NATURALLY curly hair. There are some of my favorites I found online:

Had an artist on etsy design my invitations. She was great. I wanted a topper at first and then suggested to her the invitations. It means a lot to us as a couple. As a Peace Corps Volunteer I learned to ride my bike with my fiance and fell a lot of times. The Bible verse is Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."

I just decided this week I'm going for it and doing them, but really I think it's just as useful to give guests a little booklet with information on the location. It's just a nice way to say thanks for coming all the way out here for my wedding.

We actually got married on the beach by a restaurant where we had our reception. Our wedding was featured on OffBeatBride if you want to see. http://offbeatbride.com/2014/09/nicaragua-bike-wedding
I love the Atlantic coast. We went there for our honeymoon and I was actually thinking of how beautiful a wedding would be there.
