Hello past, present, & future BRIDES. I have sad news (for me that is). My fiancé and I have recently decided to push back our wedding a couple months :'( we were due to be married may 16 2014.. I'm extremely devastated even though I know it will still be taking place I just feel like my dream wedding has been crushed for the moment. I have been laid off from my job of 12 yrs in June due to closing and we've had other things take a turn for the worse.. This is why we have come to this descion. We are looking to have the wedding in sept or oct of 2014 but I've heard that's their tropical season..that saddens me as well..I just want to be married ...

Hey everyone, I had been eyeballing luggage tag save-the-dates on Etsy for a while, but I just couldn't get myself to spend the $2 for each one. Considering i would have needed 70, that would've been around $140!! With lots of patience, I came up with my own template, and the results were better than I imagined. The best part about it, all of the supplies (cardstock, rope, magnets, paper slicer, envelopes) cost around $70.  Steps to DIY: 1.) Download template and input your info 2.) Print the image 3.) Scan that image  (there may be a way around this step, but I couldnt figure out how to copy an paste the entire image in order to print multiple tags per page) 4.) Open image in new document, re-size and copy/paste so that you can print 4 per page 5.) Print the image onto cardstock 6.) Decorate as you like!  (i used rope for a rustic feel,i also glued a tiny magnet onto the back so people can glue it to the fridge) ** Feel free to contact me with any questions, good luck!! I know it's been a while since anyone posted on this thread but I'm a Jersey bride getting married in 2014. Any NJ brides out there?? Let's try to get this thread going again.

We don't get married until January '14 but I chose long chiffon dresses. I've heard it can be very windy on the beach (where we're having our ceremony) and I was worried the girls might have issues with short dresses flying up over their heads lol! As long as its not a heavy material like satin, I think they should be ok

Our wedding is not until May 2014 I have a few questions on dress choices! I've already found my gown as for my bridesmaids they have chosen a dress that's long. Is this a good choice should they go shorter. Will they be too hot and uncomfortable. I mean the dresses are beautiful but I'm just not too sure what to do

Hello ladies... I just absolutely love these threads they are so much help..it seems like I'm learning new things daily (some what addicted)! Ok I play to marry on MAY 16 2014 just awaiting confirmation which seems to be taking a while..I will be staying at the Akumal section does any one have an updated list of wedding packages and reception choice..I want to do our dinner in one of the restaurants and them have dancing by the pool..anyone know pricing for that? & I may have 50 + including children..is 30 the limit? Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Ashley, The pool side reception is extra, so you'll have to pay for that.  The dinner in the public restaurants is included.  I will say, the pool reception is definitely worth it and amazing. The cake decor is honestly lacking, but they are delicious and nobody really cares, quite honestly.  Having someone sing at your wedding should be fine.  And what a beautiful touch!  I love it!

Hello ladies... I will be joining the marriage train in May of 2014.. Extremely nervous an excited all in one. I have lots of questions that I hope can be answered. As far as hair & makeup on the resort how is it? I see I have different options for the where the wedding can take place but where is the eat location in your opinion? I received the wedding packages but I'm not too sure if the reception price is included..is a pool side reception a good choice that's what I'm considering. How are they with decor how are the cakes? I will be getting married may 16 2014 at Grand Bahia Principe Akumal. I have lots of questions I've been reading reviews for months now the good and the bad. I just want to make sure my day is a day to remember. I'm guessing I should look into my own photographer. How is the make up artist. What about the cake & flowers. I would like to have a sand ceremony is this possible. What's the best location to have the wedding. What's a great reception place I've been hearing alot about poolside. Sorry for do many questions hope you guys can help
