  1. We are doing a buffet to get away from the same meal per person. Instead of doing the restaurant we decided to do the beach reception since there is no cost. This way we can spend more on the food.

The cost person is for open bar. That is not included. The drinks included are house wine and house beer.

As far as flowers go, I am bringing my own. We went with silk flowers some they look so real. This way I get what I want for our bouquets.

  2. What day are you getting married? I also have my wedding set and am getting married on April 25. We are doing a beach wedding since that's always what I thought of when my fiancee said he wanted to do destination. We are also doing the Crystal package and booked the same photographer you are looking at. I've seen some of his work and liked it. Also on some of the older threads people were talking about them. I'm pretty sure we are also doing a private reception since we are going to have quite a few guests but haven't decided on the restaurant. This way we can have the restaurant until 11:30 to make it more like a reception for a traditional wedding and hire a DJ. I'm bringing someone to do my hair and makeup so I'm not sure about this. I've been told by Carolina that the Civil Service is about 10 minutes in length. Hope this helps.

  3. We hired DJ Mannia for our private reception - we heard good things about him so we're hoping he lives up to expectations as we've got a groovy crowd.:D .  Now I'm trying to find an aisle runner and then of course I'll have to figure out what I will have to hold it down so it doesn't bunch up and make me trip! How's your wedding planning going?  We have 60 odd days and its getting a bit crazy at the moment but we are excited!
Everything is coming along. I figure I have some time until we have to make final decisions do just trying to gather info.
  4. Hey kweigl25! I'm actually getting married there on 30 Nov and we just decided to change from the beach party to the private reception. We thought it would provide a nice vibe after the cocktail hour (we are still working out the details. I'm also wondering about the aisle runner and the exact length as well. Interested in seeing what people have to say with this b/c it would certainly help me out.
Nun Which restaurant are you having your reception at?
