  1. We only had the cocktail hour reception we received free since we had alot of rooms..we paid extra ahead of time per person for an additional hour with premi booze..so it was a 2 hour cocktail reception. .then we had dinner right after at one of the restaurants! And served our cake there! We paid for one hour steel drum band for the reception and it was amazing! After they were done with their first hour they sung..which was perfect! We had them stop shortly after so we could do our dances from our ipod doc we brought w us! We also got the fire dancer for the rehearsal dinner..and that blew everyone away..so entertaining and worth the $ ! Hope this helps!!
Did you book everything ahead of time? Or can you wait until you get there?
  2. Is anyone on here using a travel agent to book their group? What incentives can you earn for large groups? (I'm thinking 50-75 guests...)
Originally I got a group code from beaches and was just going to help everyone book individually. We go out of the country on vacation all the time so I figured end it wouldn't be to hard. However, we are having a large group as well so we decided to go with a travel agent and block some rooms. I highly recommend it get a TA that way you don't have to worry about everyone booking rooms! We had a little trouble with sandals/beaches allowing us to switch from a group code to a group contract but the travel agent dealt with all of it she is great!
  3. Ok ladies- here are my close-ups.  I used 15 strands of raffia and used a folding chair to estimate the desired length.  I had 3 colors so I made 5 strands of each color per decoration.  You can see how I hot glued the cardstock to the back of the starfish for support. Also, the raffia curls much more than this, but again- mine was packed to and from Mexico- so they straighten out a little via travel.   Let me know if you have any other questions! :)  LL LL LL LL And they really aren't that hard to make- I think two of us made 6 of them in about an hour and a half and we were girl talking the whole time- so you know how that slows things down! :)
I have some starfish that I am not sure what to do with.. This is a great idea!
