I'm getting married at Casa Dorada in September and I initially decided not to hire a wedding planner because the resort has one; however, another girl getting married at CD was telling me how great her WC is so I decided to give her a call and it is by far the best decision I ever made!!! I was getting so stressed out dealing with just the hotel coordinator because they are super busy. I hired Illeana at Romantic Cabo Weddings and I can't say enough good things about her.

You can probably do it on your own but if you can fit a WC into the budget, I would definitely recommend doing so.

I love this thread. I did the same thing although I ended up buying my dress from Macys...in 3 different sizes...all smaller than I am right now....since I can return them for up to a year I figure this way I have some options although maybe if I just had one dress I would be more motivated??

I've started going to the gym more but for me, it's all about the food too. I lost 30 lbs on WW a few years ago and I think I may have to start going back to meetings to keep myself on track. I use myfitnesspal.com right now to track and even though it says to eat 1200 calories per day, I think they only way I can lose the 30 lbs I want to by September would be to eat 1000 calories per day :/

Anyhow, glad I found this thread!! Love the ideas and hearing what other brides are doing!

Has anyone had any issues with bringing all of these items into Mexico? I've heard there could be issues with bringing in large amounts of items or items made in china but I have no idea?

I'm wondering if I can get a lot of these items in Cabo at Costco/Walmart, etc?

I sent you both PM's in the last couple of days. I didn't realize anyone replied to my question! 

I've been able to finally put down a deposit for the hotel but overall, the responsiveness from Jazmin is really slow especially through email. I've realized that I get a much quicker response if I can instead of just email.

I began researching the various hotels and contacting them for pricing. I ultimately chose Casa Dorada because we wanted to be walking distance to town and we're also hosting an event at Nikki Beach next door. Jazmin has been really helpful.

I would like to know this information as well. I was hoping to put together my own centerpieces for a small price because I'll only need a few of them.

Hi! I just got engaged a couple months ago and we are looking at locations to get married in Cabo. We've had a couple of recommendations from our friends and Casa Dorada is one of them. Most of the information I've been able to find on here is from 2011 or later so I was hoping to get some more up to date information from anyone that has gotten married at the hotel recently.
