We just got back a week ago from our wedding at the Riu. The wedding turned out great, our wedding coordinator was Fabi. I was a little nervous that something would not turn out but they really did a great job. We did not have any issues at all when it came to our wedding day. The renova spa did an awesome job on my hair and makeup! I would highly recommend using them, I was very impressesed and so were my 3 bridesmaids. We also used Adventure Photography and I am soooo glad we did! They too did an awesome job, we decided to buy all of the photos that they took. Agni was there the whole day from the Spa to the reception taking pictures of us and our guests. We also did a TTD session which was fun! Overall everything really was perfect when it came to the wedding. The only downside was during our stay at the Riu my mom had her iPad stolen out of her room which put a damper on her vacation so just remember to lock your stuff whenever you leave the room. And dont leave extra room keys laying around in your room as someone took their extra key out of there room then entered the room when they were out to dinner.

Thank you so much for that information sedwards00. We will be leaving in just about two weeks for our wedding. I am looking forward to being able to talk to Erica and put everything together. I have 24 guests coming with us. I would really like to have a private reception with a DJ but I know we don't have enough people and I am not sure if its even worth it with a smaller group. What is the minimum number of people for a private reception? (And how much does it cost per person for a private reception?.) Glad everything went well for your wedding! I can't wait to just be relaxing on the beach!

I think we may do a puzzle that has 30 pieces and will be a picture of our engagement picture. Each person will then write something on the back of the puzzle piece. Thought that would be a nice idea and could even be something I put in a frame to hang up

I feel like i need to start packing since there are so many things I feel like I need to take and don't want to forget anything! I am sure the Fiancé will make me take some items out after he sees everything that I packed. I also thought packing ring cleaner would be a great idea(not sure if that was already mentioned)

Hello! Hope everyone's planning is going well. For the cocktail hour would you recommend la habana or the lyrico bar? I looked back at past posts but didn't find any information on them. I have no idea what the difference is. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! I have 24 guests that will be attending.

I went onto vista print to attempt to make welcome cards, room key inserts, and gift tags but cannot seem to figure the site out. It looks like I need to order 100ish postcards or business cards for each order. How did you order your welcome cards and other items? Did you just order 100 some pieces of everything? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Do any of you have any type of price list you could send me? It's hard to budget when I am not sure what the prices are. I still have some time since mine is not until June but it makes planning easier if I know the costs beforehand. Hope all of the planning is going well for you girls!

We have handed out invites awhile back and so far have 23 guests booked. I have already bought my dress along with my fiances outfit. The bridesmaids have their dresses bought and they just came in last week! I am thinking we will between 25-30 when all is said and done. Thankfully I have a pretty good idea of how many people are coming so I was able to buy the majority of items for welcome bags already. I have also booked the photographer at the resort. I have also already bought the chair ties since the resorts are so much more! Our ceremony is at 5pm and I would like to have a cocktail after and before the reception. I kept emailing the wedding coordinator questions but I know that typically I won't plan the majority of those items 3-4 months in advance which makes it difficult because I want everything reserved right now so I can have my schedule for the day all planned out. Everything is adding up so fast and I have a feeling when I get there and go through things with the coordinator the cost will just keep rising.

I figured for us it would be between $8,000 - $12,000 which would include everything except the wedding dress. We are at approx 23 guests right now and still have 5 months until the wedding. Waiting on a final guest count is very exhausting since it can change the budget if more decide to join us.

Seeing as our wedding was in Mexico, I decided to make tissue paper flowers for our centerpieces and napkin rings (people ended up wearing the flowers as the night wore on and the tequila flowed). I'm sure I saved some money, but it was pretty time consuming to make the flowers in the months before the wedding. I bought some cheap vases and margarita pitchers at an awesome glass store in Playa Del Carmen, then picked up limes at a local farmers market.

I ran across the this thread and now I am very interested in trying this workout program. I have 5 months until my wedding so I think thats enough time for my fiancé and I to get in shape. I currently live in a apartment on the second floor so my only hesitation is that people below me may get rather annoyed. I loved reading about all the great results people had! Thanks!

Does anyone know if Riu palace riveria maya allows people to bring mugs to get refills on drinks? (also to keep everyones drinks colder for a longer period of time) I am thinking of buying a mug for everyone but I am not sure if they will allow it. Any thoughts?

After reading all of these I feel like I have a ton to do! I am currently trying to put together oot bags. Other then that I have the photographer booked and my invites have been sent out. So far 22 people have booked, I figured I would have about 25 all together. Other then that I have not done too much (oh and my dress is bought). So glad I found this, I hope it will make me start getting more together!

I love the fingerprint tree idea. I only have about 24 guests coming so I hope I can find a tree that would look ok with such a small amount of guests.

I love all of your ideas, everything is super cute! This makes me realize how much work I have ahead of me.

I know this is an older thread but I love this idea! I may give these to only the bridal party and the cheaper ones to everyone else to keep costs down
