Hello All,
Thank you all so much for the kind words!! We are still trying to wrap our minds around things. I put this up in the Sapphire Brides thread too and thought I would make you all the same offer. Anyways, I came across these bad boys and I no long have need for them. They are placecards/escort cards that say "Welcom to the fiesta" and a place for the guests name with 2 lil blue starfish. If you are interested be the first to PM me and I'll throw them in the mail to you. I think that there's 50 or more. I hope all your planning is going ok.
Best,
Melissa

We'll be getting married June 30. That was the set date for the prize package. It's only a month after we were originally going to be married. Some of our guests have paid in full so we decided rather than "paying them off" to get out of the trip that'll we do a group pre-wedding trip and just not get married down there. The guests with deposits down will get everything but $45 back. We are still trying to take in all this luck!!!

Hello lovelies,
So I have some awesome news to share with you. My fiance Ryan and I just won a dream wedding from Colorado's Best TV. We are so thrilled and elated!!! This is beyond our wildest dreams. Needless, to say we will now be having a wedding in CO instead of Mexico. I just wanted to let you know that you probably won't be seeing me as much on the boards. I promise I will check in to see how things are going for you all and of course all those beautiful wedding pics. Thank you all for your love, support, and advice over the last year. A part of me will be jealous of all your pretty beach wedding pics.
Best,
Melissa

Ok girls,
Now that we're all about to enter crunch time and freak out mode we have to make eachother a promise. We have to promise that we come back and update this thread with lots and lots of pics. Heck maybe even throw in a resort review. I can't believe we're here! This time last year I was wishing time would hurry up and now I'm kinda wishing it would slow down so I can get everything done!! Anyways, it's an absolute must you get back on after your DW and let the rest of us share in your wedding bliss!! EEEEKKKK so excited!
Best,
Melissa

We've decided on As Time Goes By by Dooley Wilson, the song from Casablanca which is one of our favourite movies. For the dance with our parents we'll use a Van Morrison song since we both grew up listening to him and have great memories of listening to his songs. We also saw him in concert for our one year anniversary at the Gorge in Washington which was amazing! Not sure what song yet, we're still deciding between a few.
We're still working on the rest of the songs too - what to play while everyone gets seated, the walk down the aisle song, ceremony music, dinner music and party time music. We're using our iPod so we're doing the music from the 5pm ceremony until 1am. We have a partial list put together but we need to sit down with a bottle of wine soon and sort out the rest. We have a mariachi for the cocktail hour so that's covered!
We're still trying to nail ours down but Spotify has been SOOOO awesome. It's like iTunes but you can build playlist out of any/every song you could ever think of without having to buy each individual song. They do a free month trial. You should give it a whirl!

HA I'm sorry I had a good chuckle over your "recently acquired ring bearer". Like he showed up at your door or you found him roadside with a sign that said "Will bear rings for a trip to Mexico". HA HA How does one go about "acquiring" such things?!?!

I am however almost finished another DIY project. I was just gonna post all my projects on my planning thread as there are already multiple threads dedicated to most of my projects but I have yet to come across a thread for DIY wedding banners. So ill give my May brides to be a sneak peek of a DIY thread I might post soon.
This is actually on reversible banner! Just have to punch the holes and thread my purple ribbon through. I also have a second one that says just married and is reversible as well with the other side saying thank you. The banners pictured are for photo props as well as maybe ill put the love one on the cake table. The just married banner will be for our head table and thank you is a photo prop for our thank you cards we will have printed!
Daaaang girl!! Can I hire you to take care of all my DIY stuff?? Those are super cute!!!

Sounds super fun. Althought I would suggest doing it for rehersal dinner or a prewedding event. Reason being that the tought of drunk guest swinging a bat around and possibly hitting me or the hubs and ruining pics or the night isn't too appealing. But maybe you could buy one and fill it with lil shots and what not. Good luck

Since you are booking them through Anel/Ramon you do not have to pay the outside vendor fee. I asked when I got down there and had my meeting with Ramon for the photobooth and didn't realize it actually is an outside company. I got lucky that they weren't already booked yet. So if it's something you would like I would ask for it sooner rather than later.
YAY!! Congrats!! We must see all the pics when you get them....so I can totally be jealous and wish I was there already

It was more than I could have hoped for or expected, and not one thing went wrong, even tho I had expected something might because even if its little there is always the possibility of a hiccup somewhere. Don't stress your day will be perfect. All past brides wrote that and I still had some stress, once I got there Ramone worked his magic and we were able to enjoy the amazing week of wedding bliss and I wished I hadn't worried as much.
Awwww congrats!!! Tell us all about it when you get back. Go enjoy that honeymoon!!

The pics of all the resorts makes me realize how much more I need to travel. If only I could wish myself into each and every one of these tropical places

Plus, it gives them something very relaxing to do and is really appreciated by your guests who are traveling so far for your big day!
Happy Planning!
That's actually not a bad idea! Thanks for sharing!

Yes...I saw that too! Soo excited to have another fellow bride in colorado, we should definitely exchange planing tips! I am getting married outside of the resort, only because my most important aspect of the wedding was privacy. I am sure I could have dealt with it and it would be no big deal, but it really just bothered me that people on the resort have full view to the wedding. Also, we are expecting a large group of guests, approximately 80, and we would like to have the wedding last until after midnight. The problem was, our only option was inside of a ballroom, and the money we would be paying for those extra hours was crazy!!!!! We rented a venue for the whole night, for practically the same price it would have cost for the extra hours, after the 4 hour included reception. How is wedding planning going? I actually did a site visit at the Now Sapphire and it is a beautiful resort! I have lots of pics if you're interested!
We don't even have half as many peole as you do and I'm stressed about travel and OOT bags and what not. I could only imagine your level of stress with all those people going. So are you all staying at one resort/hotel or condos? I do hope you got some sort of kickback for having all those people come down there for you all. Is most of your party out of Denver? We were able to get chartered flights so we all are on the same flights there and back. I'd looove to see pics! You can either post them here or PM for my email.

Love it Choco!! How long will you be at the other location? Enough to recover from the wedding stress?

Make sure to joing their "Ikea Family Club" before going. It's free to join and then it drops the price from $.99 to $.79...can't beat the price!!

Our wedding is May 31 and we'll be there May 27-June 03....wishing I could be there now though, it's snowed here everyday since Saturday
