We did not hire a DJ, we just rented the iPod equipment and they actually provide a DJ to run that. I did however have a guest who did the emceeing for us. He announced our bridal party and then we went right into our first dance. Then had dinner, dessert then did cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I have read In the resort website that if you do bring stuff of your own then it would be subject to evaluation... I'm just wondering if it is worth it?they do charge a "set up" fee but i have found that it comes out way cheaper than to use their decorations and centerpieces. I am not sure if you got any quotes from them, but their basic centerpieces are almost $100 a pop!

hi, they are 72" round tables.
Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows the Diameter of the large round tables they use at the receptions? I'm trying to have table runners made, Is anyone else thinking of doing this? -

We packed everything in suitcases or carried on the fragile items, nothing was shipped. It actually wasn't too bad. One suitcase for all our decor, and then I used the empty suitcase coming home to carry our wedding clothes home.

thank you ladies!! it you need any help let me know!! I'm going through wedding planning withdrawal!!
everything is gorgeous. I'm having hard time just doing the cards for my lanyards.(sooo not skilled to do things like this) and i want door hangers so bad. lolI really like your OOT bags. I'm not at the stage of planning yet but I get so excited when I see others. It gives me alot to think about when making my own! Thanks for the pictures -

Here are the pics of my OOT bags!! Everyone and loved them and everything was used, most things by everyone and somethings were just used by one or two people, but with 29 guests, I think that is pretty good!!
This is the bag, just a plain paper gift bag from AC Moore with a label I made from VistaPrint, and mugs I had made from an ebay seller.
Off bug wipes and medicine packs with Ibuprofen, Tums, Aloe gel and Neosporin.
Lint rollers I found at the dollar section in Target, 2 for a $1 and playing cards from Oriental Trading Co that I bought from another bride
Room key holders and chapstick, idea from another bride, MK0386
Do not disturb door hangers made with VistaPrint.
Everyone loved all the goodies and I had a great time putting everything all together!

My handsome hubby, and handsome groomsmen! Just some advice, we really wanted a lt tan colored suit, and he wanted to buy it because it was just not worth it to just rent, but unless you go looking in March or April, you are pretty much out of luck to buy a whole suit because designers are already coming out with the fall and winter lines already! So we went with black, but I thought it looked so elegant, and he was ok with the heat once he took his jacket off.

Hi! It is $150 to rent out, here are my pics, hope it helps. I am glad I did it because it was a much closer walk for me to the fountain then my room would have been and it was very hot and humid that day.

We had to have 10 rooms booked by a certain date in order to get our group rate, but then we also qualified for free room, and she asked if we wanted the credit for ourselves or to apply to all the rooms.

And was your room upgraded by the resort or did you just book that from day one? I'm debating on an ocean view room or the Master Suite for 7 nights ! It's a pricey difference that I need to figure out!
I think if they have dbl beds they do not hqve the window opening in the bathroom. We wanted preferred club because it was our wedding, and my fiance wanted the outside jacuzzi. I wouldn't spend on the mastersuite unless you have a big budget. I would have loved to stay in one of those rooms, but we hardly spent anytime in the room anyway!!

Yes the longest your reception could be was until 930, the nightclub opens at 1030 everynight

I do not have a pic of the ballroom, but it is very plain!!! Like picture a conference room in other hotels. For a rained out day, go with the eclipse night club if you you have to. But pray for a beautiful day!!!

For those of you that have had this promo, was it put as a credit towards your wedding or did you get refunded from your travel agent?
Any answers are helpful!!
I have no idea how it works with the free wedding, we chose the here to eternity package. I got the reduction right from my travel agent. I would talk to her about the free wedding, that doesn't seem right that one has anything to do with the other

Thanks!!! Pinterest is the best place to find great ideas!

A thousand years was one of my picks!!! Love that song!!!

Hey!!! What kinds of pics would you like to see? Do you have Facebook? A lot of my pics are on there. I did not use the resort photographer, except for what came w my package, but of those they did a nice job. I used HDC but do not have my pics yet. As far as the planning, this website helped me so much!!! But above all, do not stress!! Everything turned out beautifully, I wouldn't have changed a single thing!!! Let me know if you have any more ?s or friend req me on FB to see pics!!!

My bridesmaids walked down the aisle to "Golden" by Chrisette Michelle and I walked down to "Giving Myself Over to You" by Jennifer Hudson. Now everytime I hear one of those songs I have the best memories!!!

Hello Brides, Does anyone have experiences to share from the salon at Now Larimar? I am getting married in one month and wondering if I should use their nail services or get them done at home before I go. I will be down there 6 days before my actual wedding. Any input is helpful!!!!
they did a great job on my hair and makeup as well as my girls hair! i can send you pics if you would like. as far as nails if you get the gel or shellac manicures/pedis at home you should def be ok for them to last. Thats what i did. I got my nails done a week before my wedding and they looked perfect.
