  1. Thank you @Lucyluckytoes! =)

@Mariposa6102: We hired Vallejo Photography (they're on my fb page) I LOVED all my flowers and they were from MayaFloral, they did great work and were even nice enough to fix my bouquet(from the resort) that had closed roses and they brought it back in two hours with orchids, beautiful opened roses and didn't even charge me for it! They're amazing.  Everyone raved about the food at our wedding saying that it was the best food they had the whole time we were in Cancun.  We choose the beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and a side of linguine with alfredo sauce. Our maracas were bought by a friend that knew I wanted them and bought them on a cruise when she went to Mexico. (She found them for $1 each) unfortunately, if you buy them at the resort they're $5 each. I know the flea market sells them cheaper but I don't know if you want to get to Mexico and try and go hunt some down. Feel free to steal the idea =)

@hclibby1982@ I bought my maracas tags from Etsy as well, I just asked them to change it to my colors and I asked her to add my now last name to them so they were more personal.  They were super cheap and I thought they looked really cute.

Let me know if you have any other questions. =)

  2. Hi Ladies! So I haven't been on here in a while since I got married on April 24th but after seeing so many people having questions about Funever pictures I've decided to make both my wedding albums on facebook public for a few days.  The album listed our "wedding destination" are our pictures from our hired photographer and the album listed " Wedding 2nd photographer" are the pictures from FunEver and some other pics.  I had a bunch of people that helped me along the way through this forum so if anybody has any questions or concerns, I'd be more then happy to help.

Just got our wedding highlight video from Mike Cantarell Films. We absolutely LOVED it! My hubby cried while watching it. If you are getting married in Mexico, I highly recommend them for capturing your special day on film. Very good customer service, extrememly friendly, not intrusive at all (didn't even notice them half the time) and the quality of the product at the end is great! Couldn't be happier! Seriously worth every penny. The pictures we got were fabulous from the photographer that we used, but the video just brought me back to the day and was able to capture even more of the emotion on that day. I can't wait to just watch our wedding video of our love story!

Love the video!!!! Totally wished we would've had time to meet up for a drink..... maybe one day if we got back for our anniversaries. =)

Amazing!!! I don't know you but I'm sitting here in tears! Lol! My wedding is in a week...we'll blame it on that! Now you have me considering shelling out the money for a video!

Awww..... I would hands down recommend you get one.  I was just talking to my husband yesterday when we saw that video about how glad we were that we did it! Pictures are awesome but it's so not the same as actually re-living it through the video.  Pictures make you smile but they don't give you the same feeling and it doesn't take you back like a video does. =)

Can't wait to hear about your wedding. =)

  8. Hi Ladies!!!

I just got my trailer from my videographer and wanted to share it with you all in case you're thinking about a videographer.  I would totally recommend using "Cinematik Weddings".  They were AMAZING and you can not beat their prices and professionalism. Please let me know if you have ANY questions about them. I would def. recommend you using them and getting a video. It's so worth the money!!!! Pictures can't even come close.  Good luck and happy planning. =)

  10. @mariposa6102, @monicamb, and @MOrdonez...... Hi girls! I'm replying on here because I just realized that you had commented on my review, which means since I didn't get notified, I'm assuming you would be notified that I had replied.

I would def recommend Vallejo Photography! I think they did an amazing job and have been very helpful through the whole process. On top of that, you really can not beat their prices.  The pictures that I shared, they didn't even want me sharing yet because they have not been edited but I wanted to hurry up and do my review.  As soon as I get my edited pictures, I'll make sure to let eveyone know in case you want to see them.  As far as the lighting goes, our reception ended at 10:00 p.m. and we had no problems.  I actually thought it looked great, I know it's dark in the pictures but It looked great there with all the lights from the dj.  If you don't have lighting fromt the dj then I'm not sure how it would work but the bar had a lot of light too so we had no problems.  The tiki torches were all included, I didn't add anything.  We didn't get the light floor, my husband wanted it but I couldn't justify the price. I was told that our package came with a dance floor and when we were shown the Villas Terrace she told us that it was included in the package but she didn't recommend it for the terrace because it starts to come part...I honestly think it was better without it.  I don't like how it's not that big, so it limits the people on it and I just liked the look of the open floor so people were dancing and they weren't on top of each other trying to stay on the dance floor. And yes @Mariposa6102 my florist was A LOT cheaper then the hotels florist and in my opinion his does a much better job.  I was not loving my bouquet and he did a fabolous job fixing it.  I think those were all your questions =)

Please feel free to ask me any other questions that you may have.

  11. I think one of the brides on here who just got married got a video... Joannaleigh did you mention that? I remember someone got the video. They weren't able to post it but said it was really good and worth it! I'm debating this one right now.... I am so torn on the $500 with no samples of work.
@txbrideinmexico........ The resorts photographer and videographer was at my ceremony even though I had my own photographers and videographers. They met up with us the day after the wedding and had us select 24 pics (it was included in our package) and showed us the video. I'll tell you this, I don't think the video was breath taking but they did a good job and even put music to it. They told us the video was $250 and I was able to talk him down to $150!!!! We still didn't buy it because we had already spent $1, 000 on our videographer and I could see my videoagraphers next to them in the video and it made me think they both had the same footage. Let me know if you have any questions.
  12. @MizPriya..... That's great! I did hear from her and she did schedule our meeting for the day before but I was trying to get some extra questions answered and I still haven't heard back since Wed. and when I called on Friday they said she had weddings all day! I'm sure she'll answer me once she gets a minute =)

You're too sweet! I'll try and stalk at a distance so people aren't too weirded out by me =)

Yes, we'll def plan on a drink while we're all there...... We def deserve it! Lol

  13. @MizPriya...... Did you get everything squared away with your coordinator? I'm having a hard time trying to reach mine.  I think since it's getting down to the wire, I'm getting a little stressed! BTW I may be stalking your wedding from a distance since it's one day before mine! =)

@Kaitlyn..... I just looked at the weather thru accuweather and it said that April 24th will be "mostly cloudy" =(

hoping that changes a little bit! Not that I want it crazy hot but I would like some sun since we're getting married in Mx. Lol

Hope I get to see you and meet you both while we're in Mexico! Although Kaitlyn, I hope we don't see each other on April 24th in our dresses!!!!! LOL

I don't know how i am getting my huge princess dress there..I called Jet blue, who we are flying with, to ask them if they had somewhere that they could hang my dress in the plane and they said no..its definately not going to fit in a small luggage to go in the overhead compartment, and i am definately not checking it! Has anyone else had this dilema?

My wedding is coming up at the end of this month, and we are also flying Jetblue!!! I'll let you know how it goes.  When I called them, they informed me that they don't have closets (wth)and the employees only have drawers. Lol! I advised them that I will be carring on my dress as if it's a jacket because I'm not willing to give up my carry on (it's bad enough you only get one check-in).  I may not have a choice and will have to carry my dress on my lap but I don't trust checking it in and I'm not putting it in a small ass suitcase so hopefully it works out and they don't try and charge me for it as an additional carry on. ..... I'll keep you posted. =)

Not sure how the process works, but thought I'd ask if any of you had any experience thus far.

@ Mizpriya:  My wedding is a day after your and I was also told that I would receive an email...... I got tired of waiting for the email so I just emailed her myself.  She seems to be very helpful and she answered the very next day.  I would just email her instead of waiting around for them to reach out.  Good luck.

@Emily11386..... I would double check because that's the same package that I have and they've told me more then once that since our package includes the Champagne toast then that includes an open bar for up to 30 people and we would only pay the $5 per person after 30 people.
