  1. Hey ladies! We are getting married in just a few weeks at the Barcelo and trying to figure out for sure what works for playing our own music at our dinner/reception that will be in doors. I only have either my iPhone or iPad but have heard that only a iPod works? Can anyone comfirm on this for me and let me know exactly what works and what doesn't? I'm trying to put my music list together but don't know what to put it on an what will work or not. Thanks! Kelsey

  2. Yes for sure! Our wedding is at 3:30pm and we are doing it at the Gazebo.  Right now we have about 35 guests confirmed and booked.  So not to big, I don't know as of right now where our reception will be? My wedding cordinator didn't say she said in the past it would all depend on how many guest end up coming so we will find out.

     

    Adrian sure will have a busy day! I'm sure he has several employees/workers if he has two weddings back to back.  I sure hope so :)

  3. Omg I am getting married on February 16, 2013 at the Barcelo too and also have Adrian doing mine and my wedding party's hair and make-up :)

    We also are already legally married, we got married this past September, had a small wedding and gathering after with just our immediate family and grand parents.  We didn't want to go through the hassle of transferring everything and more paper work in Mexico.

    What time are you getting married and where at on the resort?
    I had looked into having our reception on a cruise as well but ended up doing it in a banquet hall instead just because we are going to be having a another big reception back in my home town in April.  I am getting really excited and ready for some warm weather! I'm sure we will run into each other on our wedding day :)

    We are having our reception in a banquet room, thought about doing a cruise and looked into but we are having another big reception in April back in my home town so didn't want to get to crazy or spend way more than necessary. Super excited for our big day! see you there!

I am in the process of putting together all our music for our wedding in February, we too are going to just use my ipad/iphone.  Would you mind letting me see your list as far as music goes for all the categories throughout the evening? I want to have plenty depending on if we extend our reception hours longer or not. If it makes it easier you can send it to my e-mail which is [email protected] Thank You!

  6. Do you have Norma's number/e-mail is she cheaper than Adrian? I just got an e-mail back from him and he's $450.00 dollars for hair and make-up.  If I have to pay an additional 30% resort fee of $135.00 on top of that that would be absurd.  I can't believe the resort can change us to have an outside vendor.  We should be able to have whoever we want to do our hair and not get charged extra for it. 

  7. Thanks for all the great information!! I have a few questions for you.  You mentioned there is a outside photography fee? My travel consutant said that I should not get charged for outside photography as long as you say they are with the wedding party...

    Also I was looking to do a Catamaran Cruise for all the guests that come to our wedding as well but haven't been able to find one large enough.  What is the company you guys went through? Could you give me the name and contact information please. Also what did you end up paying for the cruise and dinner per person? I've heard it's a lot cheaper than doing the dinner at the beach at the resort?

Hey I see you mentioned you are looking at having 70-90 people coming to your wedding.  The more people I talk to about our wedding the more that keep say they are going to come too.  I was thinking 30 tops as well but we are looking right now at 50+ and we aren't getting married until February 2013.  What are you going to do with such a big group? Having dinner on the beach or even a dinner in banquet room gets to be really expensive does anyone have any other idea's that won't break the bank to do with your whole wedding party??

    Would love your suggestions or idea's :)
