I am a past Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Bride and haven't been very active on this site lately because I had some issues with Iberostar and have been trying to wait for them to get resolved before posting my review which will have some negative feedback about their communication.

I am willing to answer any specific questions you may have. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to go through all the latest posts here but when I do I will try and reply to any of the questions I can answer.

This site was VERY helpfull in my planning/ freaking out process and I would like to pay it forward if I can.

My 1 piece of advice for the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Brides:

    1. Figure out what is important to you. If you have certain things that are important to you (even if you think you are a laid back bride, like I thought I was....you might after the wedding, realize that there were some things you do care about), make sure it is taken care of. Mine was the bill, the seating chart and getting the marriage license!! Whether it is making sure that your maid of honor knows exactly what you want or your mother, make sure someone in your camp knows exactly what you want.

For any specific questions I might be able to answer, feel free to email me at my personal email address: [email protected]

PS, I did have a fabulous wedding day!  It's what came after that annoyed me!

Happy Wedding planning and I hope you all have the wedding of your dreams!

  3. Sorry to hear that - we experienced the same thing.  I worked through my travel agent and it took almost a week for them to confirm that they received our paperwork, card info, and had booked the date for us.  It makes you nervous since the hotel chain only does one wedding a day.  The excuse we got is that the wedding coordinator was on vacation or out of the office or something.  After we had our travel agent bug them we got a verbal confirmation then the written two days later.  I am thinking about changing to the grand as well they are just much more for a private reception.

Let me know if you have questions I have tons of info sent to me by my travel agent...pricing sheets, etc.

  4. From what my travel agent told us today you cannot have a private restaurant reception unless you have at least 40 people.  If you have 25 you can have a private reception on the beach only but not in a restaurant.  The reason is because they have to justify shutting down a restaurant for all other guests.

The hotel just confirmed my wedding date after a couple weeks of asking questions and exchanging info with my travel agent.  If you would like I can send you all of the packets of info if you give me your email addy.  If you didn't know Iberostar hotels only do one wedding a day...good info my travel agent gave me.

  5. Hi All,

I have been looking around for a truly free wedding website that allows you to play music and let guests RSVP for events and perhaps even make meal choices.  Has anyone come across anything like this?  So far I have only seen free trials but there is a charge for full functionality.  Maybe I'm looking for too much free but I thought someone might know.

    Thanks!
