  1. @muneera0302 - I took measurements and didn't add any inches.  Some guys pants were a little snug, and others were a little loose, but they all were comfortable and would have been easily altered if they had wanted.  My suggestion would be (as well as the website's suggestion) for the jackets and pants, use a suit that fits them well already to help out with the measurements.  As long as you follow the instructions on the website, you should be good :) As well, make sure that you look at the descriptions of the fit (I believe there are loose fits and tighter fits, boot cut, etc.). Good luck!

    Hi Amanda,

I saw you wrote that on your itinerary you were having a wedding rehearsal. Were you able to do that? I wasn't sure if that was possible. Also when did your wedding coordinator get in touch with you? I'm getting married in less than 2 months and Omeshia has answered questions for me, but she said a wedding coordinator has to be assigned to me. Thanks

Hi there!  I actually planned a rehearsal on my own, the actual wedding coordinator wasn't there.  Basically I just arranged a time the day before the wedding and before dinner for the wedding party to meet at the gazebo and just do a run through of the ceremony and where I wanted everyone, etc.  I had my meeting with the coordinator that same day, so she filled me in on how the day would go and where everyone should stand, etc. After that, the boys and girls went their separate ways for bachelor/bachelorette dinners.  It worked out really well.

I had been in constant contact by email with a girl in the wedding department for months, she left the resort so another girl, Nekeisha Reid, started responding to my emails.  She actually ended up being my wedding coordinator.  I'm not sure how they decide that, but you should definitely have a coordinator 2 months prior to the wedding.  I would email Omeshia and ask her if she is going to be your wedding coordinator, or  if you are going to be assigned to someone else.

    Hope that helps!

    Amanda :)

  3. @IrieBride - Yes, I think that would be useful! When we arrived at the resort, I handed out an itinerary which had our welcome dinner time and place, wedding rehearsal info and wedding info.  I wanted to be careful not to plan too much for our guests, as it is not just our wedding, but their vacation as well. A large group of us did a tour through the hotel that went to Margaritaville and Rick's cafe one day. It was inexpensive and not planned in advance, and it worked out really well.  Another idea (if you haven't already done so) is to make a free wedding website.  It's so easy to keep all of your quests up to date on all travel and wedding events.  Other than that, when you get there, just tell people you will be hanging out by the pool most days and to meet up with you there!  Hope that helps :)

  4. Congrats Sher!  You must be getting so excited!

Yes, your wedding coordinator will arrange a pick up for you at your room.  As well, they will tell all of your guests to wait outside of their villa's so that they can catch a ride as well around 20 minutes before your ceremony.   I believe they sneak you around the back of the spa so that no one sees you ;)

If you are paying for a private dinner function and are paying per person, than yes, the bar is included in this cost and is open for the 4 hours of the wedding.

    Hope that helps!

For the other ladies, hope you found my review ok!

  5. Hi ladies,  I just got an email from True Colours saying that they have shipped my package and it should be here Friday.  They gave me a tracking #, which doesn't work as of yet, but I will let you know once I receive the pics and how they turned out.  As well, write a full review of my wedding.  It was a beautiful day and week at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton!

  6. Hi ladies!  I got married at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton on April 23, 2013.  I was waiting until I received my professional pictures from True Colours Photography before I did the review, as I also wanted to include them.  I was supposed to get my pictures on a CD in 3 weeks.  It has now been over 6 weeks, and they are no longer responding to my concerned emails.  They kept saying it would be sent out, the day would come and go and I wouldnt even get an email explanation.  I understand that they are very busy, but I am really concerned. Has anyone else used True Colours and had this issue??  Any feedback would be helpful, as I am completely freaking out!

  7. @oilersrock99

Sorry for the late response!  I received the rest of the suits that I ordered for the groomsmen.  They all came in and all seem to fit the guys and look good.

As far as the customer service goes, the stain on my fiance's shirt never did come out.  We brought it to the dry cleaners and they said there was nothing that they could do.  We washed it, and it came out a little, but is still there.  Studio Suits didn't take any responsibility for it.  But gave us 20% off one of the groomsmen shirts.  They told us that we could have sent it back to them and they would take a look at the stain, but that would have left us no time before the wedding and I'm not sure if they would have sent us a replacement.  Our experience was good with them, except for the stain on the shirt.  Good luck!

  8. I don't know if forever, but it doesn't even show as an option on the website anymore!

I picked Tropical Light Beige instead and had to order another one for my FI because he wants them all to be exactly the same, but online it says "Low Stock" in this colour as well!  Hopefully I don't get another email telling me to pick another colour or I will just cancel the whole order!

Good luck with your order girl!

  9. Hi Brides!

I ordered a test suit for my fiance before we ordered 5 more for all of our groomsmen.  We ordered the waist coat and trouser set for $100 as well as a pure linen shirt for $50.  Total cost for shipping was $20 and duty and taxes were $30, so all together $200.

Although we are happy with the fit and quality of the waist coat and trouser set, the linen shirt came in with pink stains all over the shoulder and neck area.  When I contacted Studio Suits last night, their response this morning was that they have very strict quality control and QC checks everything before it is sent out.  However, I should take it to a dry cleaner and on the next order on the same shirt, they will give me 20% off.

I'm not very impressed with this seeing as we dont know if they will be able to get the stain out at the dry cleaners. I'm not sure if we will go ahead with the rest of the suits, or if we do, I will just leave out the white linen shirt as I dont want to risk wasting an additional $250 on shirts with stains on them that I can't return or get refunded for.

Just wanted to give you all a heads up and include some pics.  Any questions, just let me know!

  10. I can't open it, shock! LOL.

Is it the private function menu with different options and pricing from $45/pp to $70pp?  Shaniece sent that one to me as well.  But then she sent me another request form where you are supposed to be able to choose a 4 course meal, appetizer, soup, 2 mains and a desert from one of the restaurants.  I have a funny feeling that you used to be able to choose your own menu off of a restaurant menu for $45 per person, but now they came out with these set menu's with different price points :s

That would be awesome if you could send their price list! What wedding package are you booking? We are going with Island pearl(I think it is called) and in the description it lists wedding photos-I wonder what this entails?

Yes, I agree with you-I think 2 hrs would cover what we really need and then friends and family can take pics getting ready and at the reception.

We are budgeting about 10 grand total for everything(more then we anticipated when we decided to do a destination wedding) but it is still less expensive then doing a wedding at home and we get a whole week to celebrate with friends and family. D

o you have any idea what bouquets for the bridesmaids cost?

Looks like we are arriving and getting married the week after you!

Hey there!  Yes, I will try and PM the list.  Sometimes this website won't let you send attachments though.  If it doesn't work, I can also email it over to you if you want.  As well, they have a website and blog, so be sure to check out their work!

We are also booking the Island Pearl package!  And I am bringing all of my own real touch bouquets and bouts from Bloom Bridal located in Toronto, as well as my own centrepieces.  I have heard that it costs around $150 per bridesmaids bouquet, so this saves a ton, and the bouquets are absolutely beautiful.

Our budget is similar to yours.

We are actually staying an extra week after for our honeymoon, so maybe we'll see you!  What date and time is your wedding??

As far as the beach being man-made, I don't think so, but you can check out the Trip Advisor reviews online and view all of the pictures.

I  have been to this resort before, 2 years ago, and it is amazing.  There are 3 beaches, the main beach, adults only and the water sports beach.  All are nice, just a little rocky.  If that's an issue for you, just bring some water shoes. :)

@ Sherlohnes - I suggest you contact Shanience Morris. Her email is [email protected].  She usually responds within a day or so.  If you would like an immediate answer, try calling the resort Phone: (876) 619-0000 * 633-9900-9 (ext: 8251) and ask for the wedding department.  In order to book my ceremony and reception, I had to call because no one was responding to my email requests.  If you call, call around 10am.  It's hit or miss whether or not someone answers the phone.  I am assuming they are out working on weddings all day.

    Hope this helps!

  13. This is what I received by email once I reserved my time slots:

To confirm any time slot, a USD300.00 deposit is required. In order to confirm, please see attached for the following documents

    -Wedding Agreement Form

    -Credit Card Authorization Form

If decided, please scan and send the following:

    -          Copy of back and front of credit card

    -          Copy of card holderâ€s photo ID

    Hope that helps.

  14. I spoke with Shaniece Morris at the resort.  I chose my locations for the ceremony and private reception and then she emailed me a form to print out and complete.  One of the pages was a credit card authorization for the deposit of $350 (i think that was the amount).  Never was I asked to wire funds.  Unless something has changed??  I would speak with her about paying by Visa so that the payment is secure, and make sure to ask her to send you the paperwork.

Let me know how it goes!
