  1. I used them. We were married on 3/31/12. Our video is on their website. They were the best...super professional and so creative. My husband and I are still in awe. Everyone who sees our video says that it looks like a movie. You will not be disappointed. I was not going to have any videography because the quality in Jamaica was less than desirable. I found elite media a month before the wedding and they had just been added to the vendor list at Half Moon. We moved things around to have them capture our day. Here is the link to our video:

    I hope this is helpful.

  2. We used him and his wife Olive. They were absolutely wonderful. My husband and I were married on 3/31/12 at Half Moon. They are very professional and worth every penny. If you are looking for a videographer, Elite Media is the best. They worked very well with Michael (Saab). Our wedding is on their website (elitemconcepts.com) .

  3. My hubby and I tied the the knot on 3/31/12 at Half Moon!!!   Everything was beautiful and we were so elated that we decided on that venue.  I stumbled upon a HIGH QUALITY videographer (that's an understatement) about 1.5 months before the wedding.  We had decided not to have one because we were totally underwhelmed by the options:(  Well I found Elite Media (http://vimeo.com/41029533) and from day one, my experience was fab.  As luck would have it, they had just been added as a preferred vendor but I did not know that when I contacted them.  I was prepared to pay the outside vendor fee because their work is just that good.  Long story short, we revamped out budget.  Edward and his team worked so great with the Michael and Olive (Saab Weddings).  Between the both of them, Everything was captured.  I highly recommend them (www.elitemediaconcepts.com)

Bottom line.....If any of you are thinking about Half Moon, go with it.  You will not find a better place.  They are attentive, and very professional. It is worth every penny!  The resort is beautiful and with 400 acres, there is sure to be something for every guest!!!  Pictures coming soon:)

  4. Winegirl,

My wedding is 3/31/12.  I think my deal through my travel was much better.  My guests do not have to pay for their ground transportation and includes my welcome reception and farewell brunch.  One thing that you have to remember is that if you do not have 70 people you will be losing money.  The important thing is to make sure you have 70 people who not only want to come but who will come.  You also do not have much choice as it relates to the venue.  Also, you still have to pay for your DJ and you do not have an option for photography.  Pictures are very important since most of the videographers in Jamaica are not the best.  Check with your planner because she can work with you to customize a package!  Good Luck!

  5. We should totally exchange e-mail.  Send me a private message.  We are planning on having a welcome reception on Thursday as well and a Farewell brunch on Sunday.  I am trying to get an idea of how many people will arrive on Thursday because I am thinking about having a catered welcome reception at one of the villas...and you are totally right about the money that we are paying.  What's your wedding date again?

  6. We are getting married at Oleander Terrace...and yes, I definitely find it difficult to get timely responses via e-mail and definitely via telephone.  My travel agent and I went through quite a bit of back and forth with various Half Moon employees.  Apparently they are in the process of changing management to Rock Resort and communication is not where it should be.  It just means that we have to stay on them a little bit harder.  Fun for me and you!

    Which venue are you using?
