  1. JoanneIreland - thank you! That was a really thoughtful thing to do. We (daughter and I) are working on passport invitations and info for the wedding web site right now. Perfect timing! We have guests coming from England and we're staying at the Palace as well (wedding is June 2012.) I hope all your planning is going great - quite a task isn't it! dizzy.gif Thanks again! 2. Hi 419Soon2BBride... re the Delta rebate ... the info on their web site says the rebate is sent to you in the form of a check once travel is complete. Just pointing that out in case you were planning on having it available to pay for excursions or something during your stay ... I don't think you get it til after you get home. http://www.deltavacations.com/specials/specialoffer.do?specialOfferCode=12494DVC

I am just going to have to put together a fun itinerary to pass the time :-) We are a pretty young crowd so I don't think anyone will be too opposed to getting the party started early.  (Unless they have hangovers from the night before!) We are flying out of Detroit, and Delta had the only direct flight, plus the $ back was pretty enticing. I'm trying to find a cool way to spend it that will be fun for everyone there!  I still have yet to book a photographer and a hair stylist.  I am skeptical about booking someone there that I have never dealt with. Any suggestions?

  3. Hi Brookeann,

Don't know if you still get messages via this thread ... but, we are looking at The Reef Playacar for a wedding next year and would love it if you could give any feedback on how yours went.

BTW - we're also in Texas - near Dallas - I hope you're surviving the heat!

    Thanks!

  4. Kisekae ... I believe for the reception/dinner to be on the beach or at an outside grill you have to buy the Strawberry package, or higher. The Mint only provides for dinner in the banquet room. We definitely don't want inside a banquet room - although a lot of people prefer that because of the heat and bugs - depends on time of year tho, April shouldn't be too bad - we're looking at having an extended cocktail party on a rooftop terrace or something, then going to the disco. I'd check with your coordinator on what the options are if you don't want to upgrade to the Strawberry.
