  1. I have 15 striped serape table runners that we used for our AHR tables. They are approx 72" long and 12" wide.

Bright fiesta colors! They looked amazing on our round tables over white tablecloths with vases I purchased at the dollar store and painted, with paper mexican flowers in them.

I will sell separate, but am asking $10 each. Paid $15 each and used only once. Will calculate shipping once I have any interested party.

  3. I purchased these maracas from Oriental Trading to take to our Cabo wedding for the "shake at the kiss" favor.

We decided they weren't loud enough so we bought the big ones.

I handpainted these for our table decorations at our AHR.

They came out great and looked awesome on the tables with serape runners and paper Mexican flowers.

    They are teal,red,yellow and orange

    There are 33 of them

asking $20 includes shipping in US.

You can email me at [email protected] with any questions.

I am also selling 5 drawstring backpacks with Cabo 2012 imprinted on them.

Will sell backpacks and maracas for $40 plus $5.00 shipping.

    Thanks!

  4. Well it's good to know I'm not the only one that doesn't know where to start.  I just recently got engaged as well (May 2012) and have always dreamed of having a destination wedding.  I have been googling all sorts of things...there is so much information out there that it is very easy to get overwhelmed.  I'm glad I came across this site so I can get advice from people that have been through and are going through the whole process
I just returned from my daughter's destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas. It was amazing and we're so happy we chose Cabo! My daughter is a wedding/event planner so she knew she didn't want a big event in our hometown. We had 50 of our closest fiends and family attend and it was a week full of fun. I'm a little depressed since I spent 10 months planning and working on all the details and now it's all over. Once the main events were panned, my daughter said..."it's all yours mom " so I had a blast doing the oot bags , silk bouquets, bouts, tablescapes , etc. It was vintage beach themed using mason jars... Yes and we took it all with us. Would I do it again...absolutely. Ail post pics soon!

  6. Okay, I guess I need to vent! My daughter is getting married in Cabo..July,2012.

She is an only child and she and I are very close. So far she has included me in alot of the planning, but she is a wedding coordinator also, so she knows exactly what she wants.

She got engaged in August and she and I made a trip to Cabo to plan the wedding.

We pretty much nailed down everything except the small details.

Save the dates have gone out and out of the 50 guests  expected to come...we may have about a third that have at least booked rooms.

I continue to see airline rates rise, and since I love finding the best deals, I am constantly searching. I wanted to send an email today to let people know the best rates I am finding and she told me that I need to back off.

We are flying in the photographer and videographer with their spouses and paying for rooms and flights. I sent the videographer an email letting them know what was available for flights and she was so pissed that I made that contact.

Am I getting too involved or being too sensitive.

She just started a new job and is very stressed, in fact she wanted me to handle the communication with flower details.

I guess my feelings are hurt and I'm ready to say..I'm done!!!!

    Help, I need advice!!!!

    A very hurt MOB

  7. Hi Mishele..we just returned from Cabo do do some planning for next summer and went to scope out Walmart. Unfortunately they don't have the selection of vases that we have at home. I think we decided on bringing our own. We are only having around 40-50 attend, so we will have 5 tables to do centerpieces. I think it'll be easy for us to pack our pieces. The restaurant probably just offers white napkins and my daughter wants a specific blue since her colors are aqua and coral. I have found an online linen company who had napkins for around $1 pc in the color we need. That's less than some of the vendors will charge to rent, and we can have plenty of padding in our luggage.

The black, white, and red sounds beautiful. In fact there are many florists in Cabo that you could just pick up your flowers and do your own design.

I think my daughter is wanting to do sand and shells, starfish and candles...so we've been picking up things when we see a deal.

We decided against an AI and instead found a smaller hotel close to town that can accomodate everyone.

It's great that this site has classifieds where we'll be able to choose whether we want to sell off our items after the wedding.

We aren't using a WC since my daughter is one so we'll be doing all the planning and she has coworkers coming who can do the day of stuff.

We are even considering bringing our own photographer because we figured if we paid for she and her husband, not only do they get a vacation, but she will be at all the events to get great shots.

check out my daughter's wedding website..it's amazing, you can tell she's a planner!

  8. Paula..it sounds like you are wanting to have the same type of wedding as my daughter. She has always wanted a destination/beach wedding and after spending Christmas with us in Cabo...they decided that was THE place. We are going down on 9/1 for site visits and she has really done her research. We love the Pedregal area of Cabo because of it's proximity to the marina area.

We are planning on renting a villa in Pedregal...in fact it will probably be Villa Buena Vida.We are expecting around 50 guests. The villa sleeps 22 and we will offer the villa to the closest family and friends first. It comes with a cook/caretaker, so we are planning on making it like an all-inclusive for the guests that want to stay there. Costco and Walmart are there, so we figure we can stock the villa with food and beverages that the cook can use or the guests can serve themselves. For the additional guests there are condos called Portofino that are located in the gated community. We have stayed at the Portofino condos and they are beautiful. For those that really want to be on a budget there is the Cabo Paraiso Hotel. I am sure that some guests may even choose an AI resort and make it their vacation.

The wedding will be 7/7/2012.so we are just about to send STD's to the list of those that will be invited. We plan on having an AHR about 6-8 wks after we return.

My daughter is a wedding planner here in Dallas, so she has set up appointments with caterers, florists, etc. Not only for her benefit, but also for the company she works with as they will be getting into destination wedding planning.

She won't be using a wedding planner in Cabo since the owner of the company will be at her wedding and will act as day of co-ordinator. She has found an awesome photographer..who came highly recommended by someone we met on our last trip. She wants the wedding on the beach..then we will  have the reception back at the villa.

We are planning a welcome dinner/rehearsal one night. It was going to be on the Tropicat, but we may change it to Medano Beach Club.

I am sure we will have so much information when we return, so if you need any input feel free to ask.

    Good luck in your planning...

  9. tini70...I am a MOB and am such a newbie on this site.I have become addicted to reading all this great info. Ok, so you have already had your wedding.

My daughter has not yet set the date. We love Cabo, and Pedregal Beach is where she really wants the ceremony and we are thinking of renting a villa for the guests. Here is our dilemma. Pedregal charges a fee for a beach wedding and also only allows 20 (or so we are told) on the beach for the ceremony. Oh...and they don't allow chairs.

We love staying close to town..and our concern is not being close to town for those who want to go out. Did you find that the villas on the Corridor were too far from Cabo San Lucas.

We have stayed at AI and condos in Cabo. Personally I love staying in condos close to town.

Did you see a problem staying at Blue Sea Villas? Also did it work with your budget?

    I appreciate any input..
