  1. I just wanted to share my experience with www.JasminesBridalShop.com making my sister's wedding dress.

It's not my 1st time using a chinese replica site. I used Millybridal.com for my wedding dress. For full Milly experience HERE But since I knew that they have delayed many dresses before & they don't stick to their deadlines, I decided to give Jasmine's a try since I haven't found any bad reviews about them except for one which the owner of Jasmine's responded to very professionally.

    Communication:

Excellent. Very quick to respond to your emails, answer questions and their English is excellent. They also ask questions to make sure they understand what you want.

    Deadlines:

They gave me my mid production pictures even before the deadline & also sent the dress before the deadline. They set 10-11 weeks as their standard delivery time yet I got the dress in 9 weeks!!

    Quality:

They have 2 grades for fabric & craftsmanship. I chose premium grade everything  (which is the standard quality) and it's just amazing. Like the ones you see in bridal shops. fully lined dress, well boned bodice and a layer of tulle in the skirt lining. Lace and beading were very nice as well.

    Fit:

The dress fits like a glove. no alterations needed what so ever. Only thing it was a little short that we had to remove the underskirt and that did the trick.

For Arabic Speaking Brides, Jasmine's have an Arabic page on Facebook to help with the orders. Here's the link to the page:

I actually was sent close ups & the images were more detailed, the lace arrangement isn't the same as the original (as expected) but it's Ok since I won't pay either for Designer grade fabric or craftsmanship because I'm on a very limited budget & Of course I'm not paying the full price tag on the original esp that in my country it's triple the price of the same dress in the US.

to me the top of the dress does look a little off..i think it would help if they sent you pictures without the pins in it as well! and the color of the lace does look a lil off as well to me, like the tulle is brighter than the lace is

Actually they use the pins so that the lace is easy to remove if I want something changed without leaving obvious marks on the fabric. When I approve the lace arrangement they're going to sew the lace in & Then if I want something changed they have to take it off ruining the fabric & I'll pay extra for alteration.

About the color, I asked about that & they said it's the light in the room that gives that effect, also I saw many posts of other brides who said that I shouldn't judge the color based on their photos.
  4. Now, I ordered a Duarte dress (La Sposa) in Diamond white from Jasmine's bridal shop..

I have few concerns regarding my mid production photos.

    1) The color: I think it's a bit darker than the color I wanted but I know that computer screens lie about colors. Also I know that they don't use flash when taking photos, that way they show more details. but I'll ask Lisa about that to be sure.

    2) Layers: I think the skirt in the original dress had more tulle layers between the top layer ( that contains lace) and the lining. I can't see the seems of the lining in the original while I see them clearly in the replica.

    3) Lace arrangement on the top: In the replica, it doesn't have that nice circular arrangement on the top as the original, it seems more random to me.

  6. you're welcome :)
I think you should go try on dresses 1st, decide which type of dress you like best & suits you best. Then order as soon as you can because sometimes time isn't a friend in overseas knock off world. I think you can wait till the begining of January to order but get your heart set on a dress & start trying on dresses now. Also decide on the veil.

I am thinking about ordering it pretty early...considering we are getting married in Nov 2013 when do you guys think I should order it by?

Hi ladies! Just wanted to share my progress pictures with you all. I ordered this from Jasmine's Bridal and took different parts of several dresses and put them together. The original design was going to be an Alita Graham, but then I changed the bottom to a Jim Hjelm ...and also added a bow in the back:

    Lovely dress.

    I love Jasmines's work.

BTW, One of the dresses on the hanger in the back ( the one next to the pink dress ) is my sister's :)

I'll post the whole experience when done :)

    Congrats dear.

I'm new to the forum...I'm likely not having a destination wedding (though I wish!) but this thread is best I have ever found regarding knock-off gowns. Thanks ladies!

I have a couple concerns. I have tried on similar styles to gowns I love in stores and I really love the fabric and how it fits. I am wondering if the fabric will be anywhere near the same. I'm not big on satin or any other shiny materials. I like the matte taffetas, organzas, and chiffon type fabrics.

I also go towards a more atypical dress design. I stay away from any lace and beading, but the dresses I love have A LOT of detail in the fabric. I'd love to get a dress like these made:

    apologies for the giant pictures.

Does anyone have experience having a dress with a ton of fabric detail like these made? How did it turn out?

    Thanks!!

    Hey..

I would use Millybridal.com for this dress..

I saw them do a similar one on another forum..

The quality of their dresses & beading is amazing, the only thing that they take longer time than other chinese companies..

They did my dress & I was impressed..
