The resort is absolutely beautiful, and they do a great job keeping it that way.  It really does look like the pictures. I can't wait to hear about your weddings, best wishes!! 

We met Diana on our site visit, and I must say, I'm shocked to hear she's not on her game with returning emails.  I think she's so busy concentrating on the wedding for that day, or the coming days, it's hard for her to keep up with everyone.  I have no doubt she will pull off a close to flawless wedding.  Did you guys work with Lauren out of Florida?  Did you get group room rates?  We are still waiting to get them for Feb. 2012.  This is why i'm so nervous about giving them anymore money without knowing what it would cost our guests.  I want to give them as much time as possible to save and plan.  I'll feel better once we get everything figured out....hopefully soon. How was your wedding?  Did you love Gabi rest??  Can you share pictures, and any other information.

We are worried about the hidden fees. The 26% tax/service fee should have been mentioned before we made our deposit.   How many are guests are you expecting?  The terrace was our second choice.  It is a beautiful resort, and I loved Diana, but now i'm over budget.  

Hi past brides. I need some serious advice.  We put a deposit at the Paradisus Palma Real, and are finding out some "Hidden" service/tax fees.  We are bringing 80 plus guests to their resorts, we do not want to get stuck with BS fees, nor do we want our guests to.  We plan on spending some money here, but after bringing all these guests to their resort, they charge us a 26% tax?? Which was not mentioned until after we made the initial deposit. Is this normal? Do we move to the other hotel we liked?  We did stay at the Paradisus PR for our site visit, so I'm sure that's why it stuck out in our head.  The Majestic seemed much more upfront, and quoted us actual prices, not a price plus 26%.  What else are they going to sneak in??  Any advice is greatly appreciated!  We are on a tight budget, and have no room for hidden fees.

Hi guys!! We just put down the deposit on the date in early 2012.  After we made the deposit on our wedding, we got an invoice for the privatizing Gabi Beach, 50% due just a few weeks later.  Not to mention the 32% tax and service fee??!!?  You would think this would be mentioned, even after out site visit.  Who would ever assume taxes would be over $2,000???    Of course, we are now extremely nervous to go any farther with them, especially considering they can't release any group rates to us yet.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.  I'm afraid they're going to kill us, and our guests with "hidden fees".  I've also read some pretty bad reviews on this resort.  We did an actual site visit, loved the resort, and the wedding planner we met with there.  But, we can't even talk to her until 90 days before the wedding.
