Congrats to all the Riviera Maya Summer Brides!
Don't forget that it is very warm here in August. Don't buy a heavy dress and don't let the resort schedule your ceremony too early in the day. We recommend around one hour before sunset.
Here's wishing you nice, soft (not hair-destroying) summer breezes for your special day.

We photographed an Hindu ceremony in Cancun at the JW Marriott. They did a great job with all of the different ceremonies. The setting was great and everyone had a great time.
We did a blog post about it here. http://www.mandjphoto.com/2013/03/akash-andrea-jw-marriott-cancun/
Good luck with your planning,

Hi Nishi,
The latest Hindu wedding we shot at was at the JW Marriott. They had their food catered by the hotel and Taste of India which is an Indian restaurant in Cancun. The food was excellent!
Here are some of the other vendors we worked with.

Hi Groom to be 2014,
I can't give you any info on Moon Palace but if you decide to do somethin else I know there are not a lot of resources for Hindu weddings here so I wanted to add some vendors that we worked with recently in Cancun.

Hi there,
Our latest Hindu wedding was in Cancun and they actually flew the priest in for the wedding. He was incredibly charismatic and was great to work with as a photographer. He coached the couple several times in order for us to get some great shots!

Hi there,
I would imagine that you already found your wedding planner but just in case you are still looking for vendors I thought I would some that we worked with recently in Cancun.

Hi Emma,
We live on Cozumel full-time and have been to Isla Pasion several times. It's a pretty cool venue. Very private, with an outstanding beach.
I wouldn't worry about where your guests stay, there are several hotels/resorts on the north side of the island that can accommodate everyone. Check out Hotel B or the Coral Princess. The Melia and Playa Azul are also on the north end near the dock of Isla Pasion.
The great thing about the location, which you can't get on the mainland, is that the beach faces west and you'll get beautiful photos with the sun setting over the Caribbean.
Just like these that we shot a little south of Isla Pasion last Saturday night.
Don't hesitate to contact us if you need more information about Cozumel.
Best of luck,
Jennifer

I can recommend both playaweddings and rhinovisuals. If you decide to go with video make sure you get someone who is professional and knows how to work with your photographer, too. It's terrible when you get someone that doesn't communicate or consider where your photographer is in order for both to stay out of the photos/video.
Best of luck ladies!

You might also check out Melissa with MVP.

Adrian is great, too.
Best of luck to you!

Another suggestion would be Melissa with MVP. There's usually a breeze coming off the ocean so keep that in mind.

Congratulations Keri (who lives in one of our favorite cities in the world),
We think you would be hard pressed to find a better destination than the Riviera Maya for a destination wedding. We live here, got married here and love it!
Here is our take on the different resorts here on our blog.
However, you said a fall wedding and you should know that the entire Caribbean and Pacific coast's most active hurricane months are September and October. The water will be nice and warm and the prices will be good, but I wouldn't chance it.
If you are set on the fall, I would wait until November.
Best of luck,
Jennifer

Hi,
We used mywedding.com and thought it was easy to design, quick to load and provided all of the details that guests needed.
We would send the link, but we were married two and a half years ago and the page is no longer active.

I think it is a good idea to ask a lot of questions of each resort, especially understand the outside vendor fees.
We're biased, but I wouldn't trust a resort photographer to document the most important day of your life.
This blog post may help with understanding how some of the resorts work.
Good luck with your planning,
Jennifer & Michael

Hi Kimberly,
I think it is easily done in six months. If you can't do a site visit, spend time on this forum and look at a lot of web sites.
To understand the differences between big resorts and boutique hotels on the Riviera Maya, take a look at this blog post.
Good luck with your search,
Jennifer

Hi Amanda,
Great question. In some ways, your style and the type of wedding you hope to have will drive your choice. The AIs tend to have more weddings, even multiple weddings on the same day. Many of them have a lot of rooms, which translates into lots of gawkers at your wedding, maybe even people in beachwear in the photos. Smaller, boutique hotels avoid this and, as Ali and Jonathan said, give you the opportunity to visit a variety of local restaurants.
We have a blog post about the differences between the two on the Riviera Maya. We hope it helps.
Good luck,
Jennifer

Hey PickyBride,
We recently shot a wedding at Dreams PA. Their are some nice locations for photos and the gazebo area juts out into the ocean, so there are no scantily clad bathers in your wedding photos.
There were a lot of activities for kids and the food we had was decent.
Here is a link to the blog post showing the wedding and a few more photos posted below.
Good luck,
Jennifer

Hey 11-30-13,
Site visits are the way to go. Hope this weeks cood weather is still better than what you left in Denver (we moved to the Riviera Maya from Colorado more than two years ago).
Not only should you check out web sites for finding the right photographer's style, but we strongly suggest a Skype call so you and your fiance can "meet" with your potential photographer.
There is a lot of talented photographers here, but you should also "click" with the photographer you choose.
Best of luck,
Jennifer
