Sorry I went MIA for all the questions about the hot yoga, my 1 year old would try to type over me when I was replying   I started hot yoga about 4 weeks ago.  So, I lost about 3lbs a week.  Total is 12 lbs so far!  I was in a pretty rough car accident last Tuesday, so my yoga has been interupted, however, I will be back at it soon!  I love it because it is very relaxing, it calms my nerves a bit (and the stress from wedding planning!), and works my inner mind and body-plus YOU SEE RESULTS!  My fiance says I look 8 lbs smaller everytime I come home lol!  Keep in mind, I probably can only lose another 10 lbs total-I just don't see being much smaller than that, but I more than anything just want to drop some fat and tone, and this has been the best way thus far.  Plus, I have a spin bike at home and I sometimes heat my yoga room a little and ride my spin bike-that way I always feel like I'm getting a workout because I'm so sweaty!  I also have 2 kids, so it's hard to eat healthy all the time, so I go by proportions-if it's mac n cheese, I only have a little bit, and drink lots of water!  Good Luck girls! So I ordered my dress from a seller on etsy (Your Fairytale Wedding) and told her all the details I wanted.  I won't get my dress until August, but here is the sketch-I am SO HAPPY with my choice, it's exactly what I wanted and dreamed of!

Wow, I thought this would be much bigger thread! I have 2 kiddos, a 6 year old and a 22 month old, both boys, Ty and Cooper.  My other true loves   My older boy and FI are at a baseball game and my baby is sleeping, so finally, I have time to browse! 

I think it is totally inconsiderate of other people to invite their own guests to your wedding!  I am dealing with the same thing-my BM invited 2 of her friends to my wedding.  GRRR! It's not spring break, it's my WEDDING!  I'm so angry and frustrated, so I understand where you're coming from!  My plan is to be up front about the way it makes me feel-that this is a very special occasion, and we already invited all the people we wanted to be there, no additions.  We'll see if that is clear enough!  Good Luck!

I haven't read all the posts on this thread yet, but I thought I would mention that I have already lost 12 pounds doing Hot Yoga (Bikram), and I am addicted.  It is really helping me tone, burn fat, and it helps me with my anxiety also!  Core Power yoga is where I go, and I my wonderful and handy FI is building me a yoga studio at our house!  Yay!  I use yogadownload.com for videos, and I have never felt better!

I'm so sorry to hear many other brides are having the same struggles I am   My so called "friends" have completely betrayed me since I got engaged, and my best friend turned into a jealous psycho after I got engaged, scoffing at every dress, color, or idea I looked at, yet she was so eager to leak the news of my FI proposal to me before he did it!  I have since lost all but a select few of my girlfriends due to all this drama, and things just keep getting worse. I chose not to have a MOH at all.  My brother can't come, and my Father hasn't been around since I was little, and My Mother has even asked how I would feel if she didn't come??! "Hmmm, let me see, I don't know Mom, DEVESTATED is the word that comes to mind!"  Turns out, our wedding has brought the real opinions people have of me and my FI and our kids.  Ouch.

However, my FMIL and I had lunch today, and she said something that stuck with me.  Maybe it'll help you as much as it has helped me-she said "Nobody is going to be happy about your wedding but you"  and she's right, I am not sure what I expected from my BM, or my Mother, but really, I will only be disappointed if I expect anyone to be as happy about OUR wedding as we are, it's ours, not theirs, and the people who should be happy is me and my FI and our kids, and that is who I am going to focus on, that's it!

Weddings really bring out the best or worst of people.

This is great!  I hope I too can even get to 150 posts.  Seems to be a lot considering I am on here all day and all night but haven't even got past 20!  I guess I need to be more opinionated!  I just love everything on here!

Oh good! I am happy that it is helpful!  I spent so many hours searching for exactly how to do it, what exactly I needed and the measurements, so I'm glad this helped someone!

Torilynnsmith-I used some clipart images from my computer and then saved it and inserted into powerpoint to change the dimensions and colors like I wanted them (I used the washout feature). If you need help finding one and getting it to be washout style let me know and I will help you!

Skp1-I did set the bar high for my invites....a little too high!  Oops! I didn't even think of that when I was making them!

I was going to have a photobooth and have my guests put their pictures in a book and sign next to it.  I am thinking more now that I want to take our engagement photos and make a book online with space for the guests to sign.  I don't really know though, I was really set on the photobooth, but now that we are going to Mexico, I don't think that will be happening!  Oh well, save it for a birthday party instead!

Hello everyone!  I am an October 2011 bride as well!  We are getting married at Azul Beach in the Riviera Maya, October 22, 2011.  We have sent out our save the dates that I made, and we are getting our engagement photos May 14th (my cousin is taking them-she's amazing www.vanburenphotography.com )  I am having such a great time planning the wedding and working on my diy projects!  Can anyone tell me where they found instructions on making a seashell ring holder for the ringbearer?  What  a cute idea-my 2 year old son will be so cute!

Melfabik-we are expecting hopefully about 20 people plus B & G (and our 2 kiddos of course).  I am so interested in the terrace! I haven't heard about that yet, when will it be ready?  I too am from Colorado (I sent you a PM, I think you and my fiance went to school together!)  What a small world-3 of us Colorado girls getting married at Azul Beach!

We used weddingwindow.com.  I love our site and get SO many compliments on it.  We also purchased our domain, so you can use your name and his name wedding.com or org.  Its also nice because you can see who has been looking at your website, you can have your guests enter their addresses, then you can download them to excel spreadsheet and create a mail merge to print your labels.  It costed about $69 for 12 months, but I think there is a special right now for $10 off.  Check out our website if you'd like-  www.mikeandmandywedding.org or visit www.weddingwindow.com to see all the options you have to choose from and neat things you can do with your website!   

I think we probably could've done it cheaper for our guests, but I was in a hurry to book, so our guests are paying $1500/2 people for 3 nights, for the hotel.  Our air is $460 (approximately) per person from Denver.  It is about $1000/person based on double occupancy.  Everyone keeps telling me we picked the most expensive hotel in Mexico, but I think they are mistaken.  It's a pretty good deal for a 5 star hotel.  We booked Azul Beach October 22, 2011.  My TA is pretty good, however, I get a little frustrated because I did tell her my budget for the wedding and she said it "would surely stay under $5000 for travel and $1500 for the wedding"  Wow, we are now thousands over the budget-so much for a small inexpensive destination wedding!  My advice would be clear about your budget and the desired guest prices-no room to go over.  Good luck in your planning and remember it is supposed to be fun!

I am so sad to see this!  I have booked Caribe because their prices are inexpensive, and the wedding costs keep adding up!  I only have the option of Caribe and I think one other.  The rest of the photographers approved by Lomas say they don't go to Azul Beach any longer I feel so stuck!  My cousin in law to be is an AMAZING photographer, but unfortunately not attending the ceramony in Mexico.  Has anyone had any other experience with Caribe, or have any suggestions for me?  Thank you for any help!! I really hate this "approved vendor" thing!
