Good to hear that things are coming together for you.  Are you doing all the programs and menus yourself?  I am scared lol.

Wedding plans are coming good working on getting the rest of my guests to book, everyone waits until the last minute   and working on oot bags, attire and decor.

I know it has been a theme throughout this board, but does anyone else find there pricing structure to make no sense?

I recently went for a site visit and love the hotel and my WC (Ariadna) and I know it isn't her fault but I am getting so annoyed.  I was told a cocktail hour w/ canapes is $40/per person for 1 hour and a rehearsal dinner is $38/per person.  This seems a little backwards to me. 

Is anyone else feeling this way?  I don't want to be a cheapskate, but I was expecting certain things and kind of feel like we are getting taken.

I am so glad I am not alone on this.  I am really happy with the service and the hotel so far, but I am being overwhelmed with the extra cost of things for the wedding.  We expect to have approx. 50 people attending all staying at the hotel.  It is very frustrating especially knowing what other hotels that are comparable comp. for their brides.  I am trying to just suck it up and move forward, but I agree that it is def overboard.

Does anyone have any suggestions for venues for a dinner in PDC?  I will have approx. 40 people and would like to keep it as affordable as possible   We are getting married at the Valentin and figured we could venture off site

Yes, we are doing the once in a lifetime package.  It includes up to 30 people.

Yes you do, if you are having a formal reception.  For example, we are having appox. 50 people and are doing a cocktail w/ food and a reception and we will be paying $75/person for 20 people ($25 for cocktail and $50 for the reception)

That is too funny!! I don't want to admit it, but my FI is an eagles fan.  Even though we live so close to the Meadowlands.

Hello Girls,

I am new to the board   I am getting married at the Valentin on November 19th.

I def. share some of your frustrations on the pricing issues.  I went down for a site visit and was told they were very flexible and I have yet to experience that. We are still in the begining stages of planning. 

For the OOBs, does anyone know if they would be able to deliver them to the rooms?
