Just wanted to post a quick update - 30 days till our wedding!
Nothing much left to plan. Fatima has been great, our ceremony script has been written & sent to the officiate, hair & make-up appointments are confirmed, menu is set, decorations & flowers picked out, we finished our thank you cards & menus and my sweetie picked up his suit from the tailor yesterday. We are pretty much set. Yay!
Still on our to-do list: finish the playlist (SarahBen2011 - I feel your pain! It's such a daunting task.), a few little DIY projects, and final dress fittings for me.
We are so excited and can't wait to get on the plane and just enjoy our time in PV with our favorite people!
How is planning going for everyone else??

Hi Chante
Have you looked at Wedding JoJo or WeddingWire? Both allow you choose a custom URL and they both look like they are easy to use. No coding required. WeddingWire looks like it has a ton of great tools and I know that a lot of BDW Brides use and love it.
Buying a domain name and hosting and building your site from scratch is not easy and it takes a lot of time. You also have to pay for the domain name and hosting. My FI & I built our site this way but I've built websites before.
I'd recommend saving yourself time & frustration and go with a service unless you're experienced and feel confident that you have the time and skills to build your own site.
Hope this helps!

Your photos are amazing! Your wedding looked perfect and you looked like you had so much fun! Loved the little flags on the straws, so cute!
Congratulations!

I know EXACTLY how you feel BCbride11, I am feeling the same way with the gown I bought.
Don't panic! You still have time to visit boutiques that specialize in off the rack designer dresses and sample sales if you want to shop for something else - that's what I'm going to do. If you find something you absolutely love more than the dress you have now there's still time to buy it and get alterations done. If you don't find something great it might remind you that you made the right choice the first time around!
I'm sure you look beautiful in the dress you bought. Post pics if you can! The brides on this forum will give you an honest opinion.

November 5 - Dreams WC and may make a few things myself. Trying to keep both the DIY project count and the wedding cost down.
SarahBen2011 - I'm doing the same thing! Bonfire the night before and reception Las Plamas. It should be way fun!

Dreams2011, thanks for adding all the details about what went wrong to your DPV review.
I'm sorry to hear that there were so many mistakes made that could have easily been avoided with better communication between the hotel staff and the WC. You must have been so frustrated!
I guess this illustrates to all of us future brides that no matter how much planning and organization you do, at some point it's out of your hands and you just have to roll with the punches. I'm glad that management gave you a big discount and I hope that they are able to learn from the mistakes they made so they can avoid the same problems with future weddings.
Despite the missteps with the WC, I'm sure when your guests look back on your wedding day the only thing they'll remember was that you were beautiful and that they had a great time celebrating with you and your husband!

Hi Ladies ~ I don't know if any of you are looking for your dresses but House of Brides is having a super huge sale this weekend. Their city store is @ Franklin & Superior.
-
LOL! I can totally relate!
My wedding date is 11/05/11 and I'm hoping to loose 15-20 pounds + really tone up before then.
Over the last few months I haven't really been exercising and I am desperate to get back into my workout routine. I'm about to hang my bikini up on the wall with photos of my really skinny friends next to it for motivation!
Best of luck to all of you!

I also wanted to share - we payed our deposit and booked our rooms & flights this week! I am so excited to get married!
-
I'm with AutumnJo and gowiththeflow ~ Dreams2011 please post some details about what went wrong!
I'm sorry to hear that there were problems and I hope they didn't spoil your day too much. It sounds like you took the missteps on the hotel's part in stride and handled the situation in the best way possible.
I've really enjoyed working with Louise so far. She seems really organized and is always quick to respond to my emails - not to mention she actually answers questions when I ask them.
I hope that the mistakes she made were just because she's new and still in the adjustment period.

Thanks guys!
@KarenM ~ Just looked at your planning thread, your wedding looked amazing and you were a beautiful bride! Chicago will be happy to welcome you back!
@hwilley218 ~ OMG, I know. I am totally addicted already!

Hi there!
My name is Krista & my fiancé is Alex. We are a Chicago couple getting married at Dreams Puerto Vallarta in November 2011!
Wanted to join up and say Hi!
Thank you to everyone who posts, especially the Dreams PV brides, you've already been an amazing resource! -
-
Congrats to you too EricaMarie!
We're trying to book at Dreams - they are so slow getting a contract back to us but I guess that's understandable since their wedding coordinator just left.
Where in PV are you getting married?

I don't know if you can adjust what he says but the ceremony was totally all business and took about 5 min (we're in Chicago too). We didn't even exchange rings - saving it for the 'real' wedding.
