  1. Is there a strong kid presence?  My fiance and I are having thinking about a destination wedding there however, are a bit concerned with the kids around the swim up bar and worried about letting loose if there are children around.  We do know that we can head next door to Secrets however, the majority of our family is going to be at Dreams and was just curious if they strictly enforced the no kids in the adult pool or if there even are separate pools/areas for kids and adults.

Dreams Playa Mujeres is HUGE so it never feels too crowded anywhere. When we were there the resort was almost at full capacity and it never felt like it. There is a kids waterpark/waterzone area and a slide -- which is separate from the other pool areas. And the kids love it, so you will mostly find them there!! The adult areas stay pretty clear of kids, I wouldn't worry about any crossover and go ahead and enjoy. You've picked a gorgeous resort for your wedding!!! You will love it :)

  2. My wedding date fixed for next year. I yet not buy any dress and there is no deal with someone. I am just looking somewhere to get advice and the best wedding dress in competitive prices.

Hi there! So I would suggest going to sample shows for the designer you like -- sample dresses often sell for great bargains. You can also try bestbridalprices.com -- they offer great discounts! Hope that helps!

  3. Moon Palace has such wonderful options and gorgeous themes but at 2400 a person it's hard to get my guests excited about it.

I can understand where your coming from, all-inclusive resorts can definitely be pricey. But if you haven't already, reach out to the BDW Travel Agents -- they specialize in Destination weddings -- and see what special promos are being offered. The Wright Travel agents have a special relationship with Palace resorts and may be able to get you extra perks and promos that can help your guests out! You can contact them HERE! Hope that helps :)

  4. Thank you for sharing this!  After I saw my friend's wedding photos, I thought of not having any guests take photos at my ceremony.  Any tip on how to go about telling your guests without insulting them?

Here's the link to the new post on ways to tell your guests you want an unplugged wedding! Hope this helps :) http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wedding-tips/c/planning/how-to-tell-your-guests-youre-having-an-un-r2310

  5. Thank you for sharing this!  After I saw my friend's wedding photos, I thought of not having any guests take photos at my ceremony.  Any tip on how to go about telling your guests without insulting them?

So glad you found this helpful! Your question actually inspired me to write another blog post on ways you can tell your guests not to take photos. I will have it posted on the site tomorrow and make sure to share the link with you :)

  6. Thank you for sharing this as it's something I've never really though of.  We'll be sure to ask our guests to just be present with us in the moment during the ceremony and leave the photos to the professional!! :)

So glad you found this article useful Tara! Your guests will be glad they put their cameras down to enjoy the moment with you and your hubby to be. Congrats and best of luck on a beautiful day!!!

  7. Great article! Can relate especially with the guest list.  Many of the people I thought would never miss it, can't attend my big day and I was so bummed while the ones I never wanted tot go will be there.  So if you really don't want someone there, it's best to just not invite them.  Listening to my FI and Mother say, oh they will never go anyway but you need to invite them, but like you said small stuff , it's not like I have to be with them the entire time.  My wedding is in three weeks and I'm freaking out!

The guest list aspect floored me too! I just couldn't believe that some people were actually coming and those who I could have sworn wouldn't miss it for the world, didn't come for one reason or another. But you're right, you don't have to spend every waking moment with your guests ;) Just remember to enjoy it all -- your day is near and I'm excited for you!!! :D

  8. Great article!  Articles and advice like this are what I think I need.  I'm one month from leaving and I've been able to keep my cool with everything so far, but once I got to the 6 week mark I've been freaking out over every little thing.

Your time is coming soon! Glad this article helped you :) Just think, all your hard work and planning will pay off soon. I hope you have a fabulously perfect Wedding Day ;)

  9. Great advice!  My wedding is coming up next month and I was stuck on what to write for my vows.  Thanks for the inspiration!

So glad these tips helped!! Best of luck on this final stretch before the Wedding Day -- how exciting that your day is so near!!!! :D

  10. What a great article and the same things I try to tell our brides to be as often as I can! I've been there too and ours DID fall apart! In the end it was just the two of us doing what we wanted to do! When all is said and done, that's the most important thing!

I'm so glad you can relate!!! And you know what, having it just be the two of you sounds fabulous and beautiful :)

  11. Aww. I love this idea so much. Definitely going to be doing a first look with my parents.

So glad you like the idea! As a photographer, these are seriously some of my favorite moments :) Make sure to share your photos here on the forum, would love to see how they turn out!!! ;)

  12. I read part two first =p but these are great tips!  I'm a bride on a budget and we chose to have our wedding during hurricane season to made the trip economical for us and everyone coming.  We were able to afford having our wedding at a 5 star resort in Cuba because of the time of year and skipping on some wedding traditions as well.

That is great you were able to save so much and have it at a 5-star resort! Your guest will have a fabulous time ~ make sure to share pics with us :) Cuba is going to be amazing!!! And the one thing I learned as a DW bride is that destination weddings are untraditional, so make your own traditions and do things the way you want them to -- it will still be the best wedding your guests have ever been to!!
