  1. I was told by the onsite coordinator that vacation dollars CAN be used for videographer.

I'm also having some trouble getting a clear answer from the WC Lauren.  I have been asking her for months (literally) if videography could be paid for with the resort dollars and for months she never got back to me.  Finally, after posting on the Palace Facebook page, she gets back to me and tells me it is not covered.  Problem is, there are brides on here who are getting married at other Palace resorts and are being told that the videography is included for all weddings booked before March 1 - which mine is.  I told this to Lauren and her response was pretty much to ask my on-site coordinator which I won't be getting to 1-3 months before the wedding.  That's just totally not ok!!!

When is your wedding? All the wedding coords. there are great, I know that it is frustrating but do not worry once you are there they will be sure everything is covered.  I was fortunate enough to have been to the resort 3 or 4 times before my wedding, so I was able to build a relationship with all of them.

I brought everything with me, I just bought suitcases at garage sales and left them in Mexico.  I did have to pay for the extra baggage but it was cheaper that buying from the hotel.

Ok great that sounds like a good idea!  Did you decorate yourself or did you have to pay them to do that, and if so how much?  We are getting married May 27th!

  3. I was thinking about bringing chair sashes and table linens too.  Another bride told me she did that.  I'm just trying to figure out how to get them there.  As far as the WC, communication is rough.  Sometimes she replies the same day, sometime she never replies and I have to call her.  In the beginning it was REALLY bad.  I actually asked her to move my account to someone else.  She has improved since then but it gets really annoying, especially now that things are getting down to the wire.

  4. I understand where you're coming from but FYI it takes anywhere from 4 to 8 months to recieve a dress once you've ordered it ....so buying a dress 3 months before the wedding won't work unless you're planning on buying off the rack.

OKAY I am seeing a familair thing here..great expectations..and little time or a lot of time.

Let's do it week by week..for those of you getting married 6 months more more from now...Do not try on a dress...first of all it will make you more depressed.

It's simple you want a fab dress, if you want to lose more than 10 pounds..then you have to realize what you THINK you will look good in now might be completely different 10 pounds plus later.

Best bet..try on the dress 3 months before..your not going to change much.. in actuallity for a body to lose weight to stay off takes 10 weeks..and to gain the same.

I get it you want to see your dream dress..it's really easy to plan the entire event and the only thing you want to be perfect is you..you can't do this until you know what you will be.

Remember the saying save the best for last.

Train, eat clean..changes make all the difference.

Now for those who need motivation...if I seem harsh..well you asked...

Exercise can be a routine, like brushing your teeth, it only makes you look and feel  better..now do you know why they have drive-thrus..so you don't have to walk. so that the fat can just pop right in the car seat beside you and as you get older well it just keeps hanging around..it doesn't make you better, it makes you feel worse.

Don't judge that skinny chick when you eat a cheeseburger, you are the same as her, she walked you drove.

Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I did it last year and lost close to 18lbs, then the red velvet cake brought it all bacl lol.

I am not so concerned with the dress (they will make that to fit me), but I really need to get into a swimsuit and not look completely crazy.

  6. I am getting married May 27th 2011 and want to lose 10-15 lbs by then.  Ideally I would like to have the weight gone by the time I have my first gown fitting.  I've already ordered my gown but it won't be here for several months.  I run about 25 miles per week and have reduced my calories to 1200 per day but I can't flatten my tummy.  Any ideas?
