  1. Hi Emma, Sorry havent been on this forum for ages, I keep meaning to write a review but never seem to get round to it. Anyway....I will just say our wedding was amaaaazing. We could not fault the day at all. Just to give a brief review.... Hair and make up - OMG we hired the boys from Styling Trio Riviera Maya, who were fantastic!!!We had to pay for guest passes for them to come to the hotel but were worth every penny. They were very professional and myself, 3 bridesmaids and our mums were totally thrilled with how we looked. Photographer - Again we hired an outside vendor, Octavio Montes. He was great, friendly and made us feel very relaxed, the package was good value for money and he delivered our prints before we returned home. Wedding - We got married at 1pm, loved the beach location. We had a legal wedding so had to have blood tests prior to the day, which Lupita organised for the doctor to come to the hotel. The minister who married us done the ceremony in English and she was lovely, she cracked some jokes and made It a relaxed non formal ceremony - just what we wanted. We chose our music before hand which sounded great. You really don't need to worry about things like a rehersal etc, Lupita goes through everything with you. After ceremony we surprised all of our guests with a private sunset catamaran tour by Paradise Catamarans. This was the highlight of the wedding by far. It was perfect. We had an open bar, everybody loved it. We had our first dance whilst the sun was setting, I could go on and on about this...... Reception meal - This was the only thing that didn't go to plan... But it turned out better in the end anyway!! We had booked the Italian buffet originally but it was closed when we got there. Lupita suggested we had it in the Mediterranean a la carte, we ageed and everyone said it was the best meal of the 2 weeks we were there. The Italian was buffet, which I'm glad we didn't have in the end, this one was served to us by awesome waiting staff, so attentive. Honestly I could go on forever... If you want some pics or any other info then send me your email address. You will have an amazing time. xx

  2. Just posted about the catamaran, they have been so helpful, excellent reviews on trip advisor too. We are at getting married at Sandos Playacar, not till December though...so a little while yet for me :-( xx

Think we are going to pass on the disco though, and just all hang out at the bar - then maybe go when it opens at 11pm to all guests. Im also a bit stuck for favours, want to keep the cost down, think we may get a batch of love hearts and put them in the little organza bags for everyone, I may also buy something over there as a bit limited of how much we can pack! Also about the wedding certificate, they sort it over there - its 270$ to get it translated and legalised.

Wow - that sounds amazing - who have you booked your catamaran trip through? Where are you getting married? So far I have just bought some pink fans to place on each chair for the ceremony which will have monogram and date on but was thinking of the tequila glasses too - I like the idea of the love hearts and they shouldn't weigh too much either x

  4. Hi,

I have this information from Maria about the legal paperwork....

To legalize your marriage certificate you will need a translation of it into English and also a Mexican  Apostille  with international approval. This service has an additional charge of 270USD. I can arrange it for you right after your ceremony. Papers will be sent to your place and it takes around 2 weeks to receive them. Shipping fees are included in the price.

Then you have the blood tests on top, which I believe what you said is USD220.

    Hope this helps!
