Thanks so much ladies,

I got married at the end of January and I trashed my dress or as the photographer likes to call it " rock the dress" here are some pics. Its just salt water doesnt hurt and the sand. we just got buckets of water to pour on the dress after to get rid of the sand then i just let it dry on my balcony for the night and it was perfect!!

Hey guys -- I sent Carolina (my WC) a picture of the second cake and asked her if the baker can do it ... the first picture is the actual cake from the wedding. We ordered the starfish online from Cakes By Sam -- they are fondant so edible -- and brought them down with us.
No one really paid attention to the cake until it was time to leave the reception a TON of the guests put their fingers in the icing! It was definitely delicious though. My husband and I only had the tiny bit of cake that we put into each other's mouth because we wanted to get back to dancing.

Yes. as a cake cake decorator I worried about the same thing...but they use whip cream frosting so they cant do alot with the design. I dont even think they have access to fondant there. to be honest no one even cared about the cake.

We just returned from Dreams!!! It was amazing. Yessica was our co ordinator. She did an amazing job. The only thing I didnt like was I had to wait a few days to meet with her. I wanted to get there and meet with her asap but they are very busy.
We had our wedding at 4pm under the Gazebo. It was so beautiful. We had a symbolic ceremony and had the judge come later to sign the paperwork which worked out really well.
We went with the ultimate package. which included the videographer and photograher- I would highly suggest the videographer! The photographer was great as well but he only takes pictures of the ceremony. We brought our own photographer, she was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend her to anyone.
I would also suggest bringing your own ipod with your own playlist instead of playing $800 for 3 hours and only getting to dance for about an hour! just rent the sound system for $150.
We had our reception on the portafino- beautiful view only seats 40 people.
feel free to add me to facebook and check out the photos - Debbie morden lafleur.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask away!

I would book ahead of time as well. I waited and got in but there was not alot of appointments left. as they have 2-3 weddings a day. luckly my bridemaids wanted to do there own hair

I would make the appointments before you go, just to be on the safe side. Here is the Spa contact info if you want to email them:
The person I emailed back and forth with was Laura Guerrero.

I would see if you can have a symbolic ceremony first and then have the judge come later to sign the paper work. Thats what we did and it worked out well. the other plus about not having the judge there for the ceremony is that its not in spanish and then translated into english. it gets dark around 6:30-7pm

they are $90 each. Very steep!

you send your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice of dates. remember you have to be there 3 days before the wedding and the day you arrive doesnt count and either does sundays or holidays. and from there they look at your choices and there availability
-
Has anyone rented the sound system and hooked up an ipod? if so how did that work for you?
-
I sent through email. I had no problems. It took a while for them to charge it but thats it
