Well I just got back from DPA this week and let me tell you I truly had the wedding of my dreams!!! It was absolutely beautiful. It was a little bit stressful leading up to the big day since it started to rain almost everyday starting anywhere from 3-8pm and continued throughout the night!! We were supposed to get married at 5pm on thursday ,but were fortunately able to make the decision to move the wedding to 1pm since the weather pattern didnt seem to be to promising. The wedding day was sunny and beautiful, but it did start raining around 6 pm so we def. made the right decision. I didnt travel the entire way to mexico to get married inside, even though they do provide back up options. I was very impressed with the resort photographers. They did an awesome job capturing the ceremony. We also hired an outside photographer but didnt get the pics back yet. I dont know how to upload photos, but if anyone wants to check out my pics on facebook just send me a request! My name is Karen Wiest from Harrisburg. What music did everyone choose to walk down the aisle to? Not sure if I want to do a traditional instumental song or one with words and more meaning!! What type of cake did everyone choose? Did most of you write your own vows?

Has anyone used Victor Hererra for their wedding photographer? What has been the general protocol for a deposit when booking an outside photographer? Sending money to someone's bank account in Mexico gets me a little anxious!

Question for past brides! Did you use real flowers in your hair or silk? If silk where did you get them?

I saw your pics Ginalyn and LOVED them! You look so beautiful .I tried to book him but unfortunately he was already booked for my wedding day. Your ttd session was awesome too. Did you use the resort videographer, and if so how was the DVD? What time of day did you get married? Our ceremony is at 5 p.m. and dinner at 7. Where did you have your reception?

Did anyone have a trial run with hair before the wedding day?

I don't know how on earth I'm going to get all my decorations and favors down there...think i went a bit overboard! I'm planning on using Victor Herrera for my photographer( if he ever gets the contract back to me) does anyone have any other suggestions for a phtographer? I wanted Sascha Gluck but unfortunately he's booked on my day!!
