Has anyone else heard from Mayte lately? I've been trying to confirm that they received my deposit and my date is officially booked, but I haven't been able to get an email back in two weeks. She usually responds quickly and my reception is June 18th...YIKES!

This is awesome! I am so at the stage where I need to work on this. Thanks so much for sharing!

elizabethrodriguez314 - your photog is AMAZING. I'm bringing my own photographer, but I might look into your person for videography. I was looking at HDC, but I love the quality of Jochy's videos.

Sharron is gone now??? Who's the new person? This will be my third coordinator in less than a year.

Hey ladies! I sent an email to Yeisy at Dreams Palm Beach on Monday and got a response back today that she is no longer working with them. The new coordinator is Sharron Pitches, but she can be reached at Yeisy's email address. Just thought I'd give heads up to any othe Palm Beach brides that were working with her :-(

Congrats and welcome to the board :-)

There's no requirement to book Pastor York. You just have to contact him directly to find out if he's available on your wedding date. You pay his fee when you meet with him in person at the resort. He sent us two vow script samples. One was contemporary and the other was more religious with biblical references. We're actually combining aspects of both since we liked them so much.

Yes, he does. We've booked him for our wedding. We are doing both the legal and religious ceremony in DR. We'll have the judge perform the legal ceremony and then Pastor York will perform the religious ceremony immediately after. His fee is $300. He's been wonderful to work with and you'll love the sample vows he'll send you to choose from.

Oh Thanks for the comment Sandy! I thought we were weird to not want to go through all the hassle as it IS your wedding day--Its all a mindset I think. The Real wedding like you said will be at Dreams. The one you remember anyway. We are actually hoping to have one of our guests (a pastor) do our ceremony...that is if he decides to come! Otherwise the ceremony will be fine without him im sure, maybe we could also look into pastor Rick York. Its quite ironic, as my guest potential pastor's last name is york also.
Does the Pastor in the DR have a fee like the judge would have?

I got the template from www.ayleebits.com website. Yes - I'm still a noobie too so I've been trying to get my posts up slowly but surely.

If you go to "Weddings and Honeymoons" - then click "Plan Your Wedding". Scroll down and you'll see the "View Our Wedding Guide" area. Click the guide and it'll come up as a PDF. When you open the PDF, they have the prices next to the 2010 prices at the bottom of each package page.
-
For all of us 2011 brides, I'm not sure if everyone is aware, but they updated the online brochure with the 2011 prices now. I'm curious to find out if I'm locked in for 2010 prices since I booked in May or will I now be charged 2011 prices.

Thanks, everyone. I was really happy with how they turned out.

It was a labor of love, but I managed to get it done and crank out 85 of these bad boys. I purchased the ticket jacket cardstock from Michaels and ordered the magnets from MagnetStreet. Thanks to the ladies on this forum, I was able to combine some really creative elements from the others to create my own. Next up are the passport invites...

Hi Ladies . I'm so happy to see some ATL brides :-) I havent' done boudoir session, but I too would like to do one as a gift to my FI.
Â
Please be sure to include me if you all schedule a group rate. You can count me in. I found another photog here in ATL that does it - she's pricey too, but we may be able to negotiate a group rate. Her website is http://www.elegantexpressions.cindyharterphotography.com/.

I can say from what I've seen on the websites posted that I do like Project Duo. The light in their photos look a little "softer" than the others.

WOW! These are sooooo nice! I just checked out her Esty page. I did my Save the Dates, myself, but I'm looking for a passport vendor. Thanks for posting this :-) They look AMAZING...

Yes, there are printing instructions AND cutting lines. I definitely suggest using a paper cutter. I filled my front and back blank pages with a quote and a thank you note -- you can see that in my pictures. You'll figure it out!! Let me know if you need any help! Good luck!! You'll have the template within a day. Just be aware that with the template, the cover measurements are the same as the pages, so if you want the cover to be a little bigger than the inside pages you'll just have to mess with the outline a little to make them bigger ) hope that makes sense!
Thanks for the tips. I bought the template from Aylee awhile back and I'm working on the design now. I had thought about just designing them and sending them off to get them printed, but this give me a little courage to try the printing myself.

Wow...not to turn this into a Yeisy bashing session, but I had the same experience. It was like pulling teeth to get my date and time confirmed and based on her responses via email I was given the impression I was being a bother .
Â
I tried to pass it off as "maybe she's really busy with weddings (middle of June) and stressed out". Seeing that my wedding is next June, I'm trying to let some time pass before I bombard her with questions.
Â
All I know is that as soon as I get my tentative RSVP count in October - I'm back into asking million questions mode.

Thanks for the info MysTea :-)
I reached out to Pastor York today. He emailed me a response today and he's available to conduct our ceremony immediately after we do the legal part. We really wanted to be able to include some more personal/religious vows as well as ensure the ceremony was legal.
He said his fee is $300, but it's not due until we meet with him in person. He's going to send me some scripts. He seems soooo nice!

Now that I know a buffet is mandatory on the beach I'm totally rethinking the reception on the beach. I really want to have a beach reception since we'll be at the gazebo for the ceremony.
We ended up getting a 1:30 ceremony time because it's the only time the judge is available to perform a legal ceremony. Does anyone know if they allow you to do your own vows after the legal portion is complete? We wanted to include a sand ceremony as well.
Needless to say (because of the buffet scenario), we're now looking into booking the Jellyfish Restaurant for the reception instead. I did a search on this site about the venue and the reviews seem to be phenomenal.
Initially we had planned on booking the Ultimate package, but we're getting early guests counts now and anticipating going over the 20 person count with that package. So now we're thinking we'll just can go ahead and book the "free" wedding package (we're staying for 7 days) and just pay for the reception at another venue.

We've also booked DJ Mannia for our reception in one of the banquet rooms. I originally wanted to have the reception on the beach too, but then you have to do the buffet, and we prefer a sit down dinner. The thing I love about DPB is that you can change so much when you get down there! Nothing seems to be written in stone, which I love, because it's hard to make these decisions without being there!
How many people are you expecting for your wedding? We're hoping for 30-45.
So you absolutely have to have a buffet for a reception on the beach??? I might have to rethink that. Have you seen any photos of a reception in the banquet rooms?

All is well. Mayte contacted me to today to confirm we're all set. She said she took a little time off to get some rest. She said she's been super busy with weddings, but she's back and re-energized. My wedding on the 18th so I'll be sure to post pics.
