Where do you girls find these inspiration boards? My colors are Tiffany Blue, Canary Yellow, and White...but I haven't been able to find any examples (or "inspirations"). I feel like these colors will look really nice together, but would love to see them in action!

ps...sorry if this is a dupe post...my last attempt was rejected again

Â
Did this happen to anyone else at first, or do they still think I'm trying to sell you guys stuff?

I have a couple of questions that you may be able to help me with...
Â
I booked my wedding 4 months ago through my local travel agent for June next year and have so far had no contact with the hotel or been told who will be my wedding planner is. Can anyone tell me how long they waited to be sent any infomation regarding choices for the day? and how do I go about getting a wedding planner? does anyone have any names/numbers/email addresses for the hotel?
Â
Any advice at this stage would be great as I would really like to start getting things organised and find out what choices i have for example flowers/colors/drinks/food etc
Â
Thanks ladies xx

Have you tried filling out this form on Karisma's site yet? I didn't quite trust my original TA, so I went around her and filled out this application. Got a response within 2 days. Good luck!

Question..... For all of the different promotions (ie bride and groom free, etc) are your TA booking all through the hotel or using different resources such as funjet, covacations, delta, etc?? I think my TA told me the hotel has a list so they know how many booked with your party and that I would get $ back after the fact.....more like a refund/rebate. Thoughts???
Hi Amy, its my understanding you can use any TA, they just need to be booked together in one room block. See the below quote taken from their website, http://www.karismahotels.com/special/usa-bride-and-groom-stay-free/. It does work in the form of a refund/rebate, though I would get in writing from your TA and/or WC that what you book qualifies. The rules/regulations can get confusing.
Â
Â
"Group Room Discount – Wedding Couple and/or Travel Agent will be required to reserve a group room block through tour operators. Promotion is only valid on reservations booked within the room block through the same travel agent and tour operator. Rooms booked outside of the room block will not apply to total counts. "

Nikki, I didn't see that last post was from you at first and just saw "Azul Sensatori - May 7, 2011". I completely flipped out for a minute thinking they booked a 3rd person on OUR day!
Phew...all better

Just curious...does anyone have Gladys as their WC? Thats who I was reassigned to after Tiffany left, but I haven't seen anyone else mention her. She seems fine so far, just wondering if anyone has comments/suggestions.

I too am very interested in who you are using in Houston. I am getting more and more interested in this BD shoot idea, but not a clue where to find the right photographer!

Yay...it works again!! As I was trying to post earlier... Chong, your brochure looks awesome!!! I originally wanted to do this same thing, but could not come up with a good design to save my life!! Did you do this yourself or have it professionally done? It really looks great!
I ended up doing a passport, so I'll try to take a pic and share it with you guys tonight.

Hey girls, this is just a test post.
My last post that didn't show up was just complimenting chong's brochure, so it must just be my computer!

Hey ladies,
So our invitations are going to print, the final thing I need to choose is the RSVP date. Our wedding is April, the price I have for my guests is only guaranteed for 30 and we are inviting 50+ so not putting a price. I have no idea when to tell them to RSVP by. Any suggestions?? We have 22 people coming already and that's immediate family and bridal party, so it will be a suprise who else comes. I figure some people are all talk and no action. What did you put for RSVP's? Thank you!!
p.s going wedding dress shopping tonight, so excited!!
Our wedding is in May '11 and we sent out the invites in June '10 (they were originally supposed to be STDs, but really turned out to be full blown invitations). We were nervous people wouldnt send back RSVPs that soon, so we called it a "Preliminary RSVP" and asked for it by August 31st. We gave Yes, No, Maybe response options. We've gotten about 30% back and have 3 weeks to go! Around November/December we'll start contacting the "Maybes".

Hey girls, I have a question... I posted a comment on here at 8am this morning, but now its gone?!? Is there a master person out there that can delete our posts? I had just said a couple of other things about the 50% off program with Karisma, so maybe it was something vendors don't want posted on here?
Can you guys let me know if there are rules like this? Or maybe my computer just has a glitch and I'm just being paranoid!

The 50% could definitely be applied during your wedding stay as well! I just figured most people have their wedding weeks fully booked, and wouldnt want to add another task. But, if you're there 10 days...why not?! I just sent you all of the info on the program.
Another idea I hadn't really thought of...you guys could use it at another resort for their honeymoon? (Great idea Marla!) My maid of honor used it at El Dorado for her honeymoon and said it was fabulous!

what i wish i had known which i only found out after i did the trip was some exotic traveler membership thing which you get the tour and they try to get you to buy with them, but if you know someone with it they can recommend you to take the tour so its like a friends package and you dont have to buy but you do take the 2 hour tour when ever you want BUT and i stress but YOU GET 50% OFF THE ROOM HOTEL RATE.
Hey girls, sorry I’m not on here much, but I had to chime in on Julia’s comment (hopefully I figured out how to "quote" correctly!) …My fiance and I actually joined Exotic Travelers during our site visit in March! It just made sense to join for our wedding/honeymoon, then we will use it for traveling for many years to come. If any of you are planning a site visit before your wedding, I’d be more than happy to let you use my “Friends in Paradise”. I wouldn’t recommend using it during your wedding since there is a 2 hour tour, but if your interested in going anytime before that it will save you 50%! Just let me know if your interested and I’ll send let you know the details.
Happy Planning!
Jaime

Hi Girls!
We did our site inspection last weekend...it was fabulous! While we were there we went through the Exotic Travelers presentation. Has anyone on this thread joined this vacation club? If so, were there any extra discounts/benefits on wedding/private event packages?
During our visit we took lots of pics and notes, so if anyone has questions let me know!

Hi Everyone. Talis and I are confirmed for May 7, 2011!!
I am trying to put together my room block, and I was hoping to get a little help from you guys...
Does anyone know what room types are shown in the attached picture? Both the ocean front (yellow dot) and the row of swim ups beside it (yellow line). I think they are the Premium Swim-ups, but I'm not certain. My travel agent has been getting a slow response from Karisma, which isnt helping.
I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to attach a picture, so hopefully you guys are able to see the pic??
Thanks!

Hi Everyone! Tonight I'm submitting my application for May 7, 2011 at Azul Sensatori, so hopefully I can join you guys soon!
Picking the "perfect" destination has been so much harder than I expected. I have been very heavily researching countries and resorts for the past 6 weeks (feels like years), and I'm pretty excited to have picked Azul! I have never been there before, so reading everyones reviews has been extremely helpful.
Does anyone have any pictures of the garden gazebo they mention online? I've only seen one picture and it looks like it cant hold more than 10 guests?
Any other random tips for this first stage of the process?
Thank you all in advance!

Hi Everyone!
Talis and I recently started planning our wedding for May 2011. I have never been to Mexico, so I had to trust my TA on choosing Riviera Maya. She said its a lot less hectic than Cancun, but still beautiful beaches and greenery. Can anyone tell me if this is true?
I've narrowed it down to these 4, so if anyone has suggestions, I'd love to hear it!
Azul Sensatori (my current favorite)
Dreams Riviera Maya
Hacienda Tres Rios
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda
Congrats to all of you...and happy planning!

I'm planning to do exactly the same. They aren't contributing so theres no formal gift, but we are paying for my parent's to stay one extra night after we leave for their own personal vacation. Our wedding happens to be the day before Mother's Day though, so its sort of a combo gift.
Â
Instead of getting something tangible to carry to Mexico, you could always look into getting them something there. Bottle of wine, massage, candle light dinner...
