We got married here in Minnesota and are planning to do our symbolic ceremony in Jamaica in January.  They do have a package called, "Blessed by the Sea" which is just a renewal of vows or blessing ceremony.  Let me know if you want me to send the info to you!

Hello Ladies!

I am getting married at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites on 1/22/11.  I have seen many posts that Nicole is somewhat slow to respond to email, and that most planning is done once you get to the resort.  I'm pretty laid back and fine with that, but was wondering if there are things that NEED to be done before we go so that I can stay on top of them if needed.  I think I read somewhere that the restaurant for the rehearsal dinner and for the reception need to be booked in advance.  Is there anything else???

These are so cute! Thanks for the template downloads. I'm not sure how I feel about broadcasting that people are out of the room. Do resorts typically try to keep wedding guest near each other on the same floors? If not, I'm not sure it is worth doing since other members of the group wouldn't even see them.

I am just going to rely on the photos that come in the package. One of my BMs husband does photography as a hobby, and is really good so he is going to supplement. I just can't see spending a lot of money on photos that are going to be put in a book and stored on a shelf .... just my thoughts though.

It took a little while for Nicole to get back to me at first when I sent an email. Once I called her, she has returned all of my emails very promptly.

My original date (1/21/11) was booked :-( So I booked 1/22 instead. SO Excited!!!

My TA told me that the prices should be out in the next week or two, BUT rates usually go way down early to mid summer, which is when they have their rate sales for the following winter. I am going to be keeping a close eye on the rates.

I believe that I read somewhere in their information that the $800 only included beer and wine. Is that true? If so, did you have the option to pay extra for mixed drinks?
