My fiance and are are marrying at the villas in June 2010. We are paying for our wedding party and immediate family so we have reserved the two 5 bedrooms and the 4 bedroom. Thanks SOOOOO much for the heads up on not doing all-inclusive at the villas. We are also staying for 5 days and the all inclusive option alone would be almost
$18k if not more considering we plan on having almost 70 people at the reception since my fiance is jamaican. You said that you paid a total of $4k for your guests daily meals, tips and reception dinner for 33 guests. Quick question(s).....
*did you guests eat breakfast, lunch and dinner there daily?
*did you have a wide variety of food to choose from? and if so did you have to provide them with menu before hand or were they quite flexible?
*you mention that you brought some of your own liquor, they didn't have a problem with you bringing your own? I read in an earlier post that Miriam told someone that offsite drinks were not allowed.
Thanks in advance for your reply:) -

Hi all....
My name is Laura. My fiance and I are in the beginning stages of planning a June 2010 wedding in Negril, Jamaica. He's Jamaican, I'm American, but we currently live in England. We have a 2 year old and am expecting our second child in November so I really have my hands full and am soooo confused about EVERYTHING At the moment we are really loving Moon Dance Villas. Because we have children, and all 3 of my bridesmaids and several other guests do as well, our locations are limited. Beaches is nice but the exclusivity of moon dance villas is great. Any other suggestions are soooo welcome! Hoping this web site will help me sort out some things.
Caribbean Pantry Catering. Anyone familiar with them or recommend a catering service?

Hey, I live In UK too and my jamaican fiance and I are planning a wedding in Negril at Moon Dance Villas for 100 guests. For a moment we almost changed it to another venue in order to accommodate more guests and I was looking into catering and vendors on my own as well. I googled a lot! Not sure if this is the same company but I know of a Karl Hart and his "Pantry Catering". They did Beenie mans wedding and they also did his son (Stephen Hart) wedding (pics at chrisbaltazar dot com). Hope this helps. If you need chairs/tables any other rental stuff try novelty party rentals based in Kingston.
