Really!!! Okay I will do just that. I will go to the Truck Show at New Natalies but, i will still try to find the other dress in my size to try on so by then I know exactly what I want to order. Thanks again Carolina24!

I gave them a $60 deposit and they just finished the dress this past week. They sent me proof pictures at which time I had the option to change anything or not even buy it at all. Of course I went through with it because it looks amazing! Once it get it (should be by the end of the week) I'll update with quality as this was one of my concerns. I didn't want something that felt as thin and cheap as a davids bridal dress but now i'm more focused on the LOOK so i'm preparing myself for the fact that it will NOT be a maggie dress with regards to quality (but what can you expect for $180!!!). The seller is gianinarbridal ([email protected]). After I paid the deposit it took right at a month to get the proof pictures.

    Anyway, here is the original:

And here's my replica. The beading isn't quite as "dark" but I don't mind at all. You can't expect it to be 100%. But it's certainly close enough that I was jumping around the house like a 2 year old!

    Hi Carolina24,

Yeah, I went to New Natalie's Bridal this past friday. They have the Amara Lee (1st one) for 648.00 but the try-on dress wasn't in my size so I had to visualize what it might look like on me. The Phillipa (2nd one) was going for 1,186.00. It was lovely. very elegant. I know Natalieâ€s is having a trunk show for Maggie Sottero Dresses in January from the 8th to the 10th. So I guess I will hold on till then to see what deals they will have. I just found out that Bride Beautiful off on Roswell Rd is having a Trunk Show this month 11th thru 13th. I hope will have enough money by then if they have dresses half off that would be great. Thanks for your advice!

  5. Hello Ladies!

I have two isues. I tried on both of these Maggie Sottero Dresses but, I can't decide on which one. The both look lovely on me. The store I tried them on won't let you take pictures so, I don't have any to post with me in them. But if you could help me find a replica with good reviews that would be great. Thanks for your help ladies!!!!

Your dress is beautiful!!!!!!!! I might have to take a look at duossheng to see if they can replicate a Maggie Sottero dress for me. Now question, did you go to the store and try on the dress(es) and then try to find the replica on-line or did you just begin your search on-line and bought from there without trying on any dresses?

    Thanks for posting.

DON'T book through palace they rob you blind-- have the travel agent negotiate the free palace passport for you too.

Wow! Thanks for the advise. I will do that too. But when is a good cut off time? Like for how long were you checking rates week by week. and how did you work that out with your guest? Did they just continue to save until you gave the information or were they putting it in a account through the TA until you finalized there rates?

Moon Palace is also a little ways (10-15 min drive?) away from the rest of the hotels and shopping, etc.
Yeah, I looked at that. I guess my whole delemia is that my guests aren't keen on spending 143-200 a person per night. I am still trying to be hopeful since its still early.

i booked with a travel agent in the UK, booking direct with the MP was soooooooo much more expensive (although you get the bonus of the free events, but they're not really free if you're paying so much more, you know?!). some of my guests are staying in cheaper resorts in cancun, and have booked to stay at the MP just for two nights, over the dates of the wedding.

remember 20% of your guests can be external (I actually negotiated and got 30%, and so far all of my guests are residents! typical!)
Wow... Okay thanks. I will try to negotiate as well I guess bit later..

    Thanks Woodsylou

Yeah, I would just have too. I think I am just going send out my save the dates and wait till february to send out additional info. So that way they know we are going somewhere so start saving..... I will also keep you in mind.

    Thanks TA Maureen.

So far, one of the TA's gave me a quote for 1000 per guest for 3N with airfair from Atlanta. And a quote of 1500 per person for my fiance and my self to stay 7nights. I dont' know if this a great deal. but I wouldn't mind paying 1000 for 7nights8days instead.
