Cathy... I'm not having a bridal party either. Between us, Brad & I have 5 sisters, 2 brothers and 13 nieces and nephews. We wouldn't be able to pick a small enough wedding party to have people sitting down to watch the wedding. We're just having all the guys wear similar outfits (probably khakis and white button up shirts) and all the girls get similar dresses so it will still look really nice in pictures. I'm calling all of our guests our honorary bridal party.
  2. So I was a little late, okay a lot late on the whole dress shopping thing. My mom has been bugging and bugging me, but I just wasn't in the right mindset.

Well we went to a shop on Tuesday and found a few dresses that were okay, but nothing we loved. Then last night we went somewhere else and tried on like 15 dresses and then I found Maggie's Talia in ivory and fell in love.

Then came the best part... they told me I could buy it off the rack for $250!!! We go back tomorrow to pick it up and take it to get altered. I feel like the stars aligned on this one...

I have the menus for the buffets too, if you want me to post them. I am not sure if you are allowed to trade things in the different options.
Laura, can you please post the buffet menus? I'd really like to see them. Thanks!

My brother just did this at his wedding last weekend. We have a paint your own pottery place in town and they just picked a platter there and it turned out awesome. It wasn't expensive at all either.
