I've just spent all day reading through this thread...it has been SO helpful!! Thanks to everyone who posted their hits/misses!

What a picture! Very sexy!! I can't wait for my TTD session in Punta Cana!

I am so glad to have found this thread! I'm working on my OOT bags and I'm struggling about what items to include! I got tons of ideas from here! Thanks girls!

We're getting married at 10am. At first I thought that it was way too early but I'm ok with it now. I think it'll be nice to have some time in between to relax at the pool/beach with our group. We'll just all get dressed up again later on for dinner/disco!

I've actually been spending more time trying to plan our AHR than the wedding in Punta Cana. For the wedding itself we have our date and time and I'm trying not to worry too much about all the other details. There's only 15 of us going down so we won't be having a private reception.

I went to the wedding show in Ottawa a few weeks ago and spoke with a destination wedding planner and she told me that GP in Punta Cana is her #1 choice for DW! It was reassuring to hear that as we all know Carolina can sometimes take time to answer emails!

wow, there are so many new posts since I've been on! I've been so busy with my new job recently (just finished my masters degree not too long ago) and settling into our new house...it's just been crazy!

Hi CherryBomb, we're doing it as well. We're staying for an extra 8 days at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro. It's a new resort that's supposed to be amazing! I'm so excited!!!

Thank you Seaprincess, Shankd, MilitaryMrs.s-to be and CaribbeanLover for your advice! I'll keep my eyes open for a cheaper, lighter dress but if I don't find one then I'll just wear my wedding dress for the whole day/night!

I'm thinking of wearing my dress for the whole thing, even though I know it'll be very hot. I'm just wondering if brides normally wear their dresses to the disco or if they change into something lighter...

I will be having an AHR as well but I still feel like I want to wear my dress for the day in Punta Cana as that will be THE wedding day. Any thoughts on this anybody?

We're thinking of doing the same thing. We have 15 people going including us so paying extra for a private reception isn't really worth it. I haven't spoken to Carolina about our first dance but I'm hoping she'll allow us to do it at dinner as well. One thing I'm wondering about is if I should be wearing my wedding dress to the disco? Since the wedding ceremony itself is only about 15 minutes I want to be wearing my dress for longer than that!!

Hello there,

 

I'm getting married at the Grand Palladium on April 19th, 2010. Carolina booked us for 10am and I'm a little worried about this as I would like the wedding to be later during the day. Do any of you know if it's possible to change the time? Also, I haven't seen any cake pictures except for the white one with roses...are there any other ones? Thanks!
