Go to expedia
do a "Hotel + Flight" search
put the number of days of travel
select double occupancy
search
You will find the best deals for Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa! Just keep in mind that the hotel is 'all inclusive' so while you think you are booking the hotel with the flight, you are booking an all-inclusive vacation including flight. -
They sure do look fluffy! Are there any spa products that come wrapped inside them or are they just towels? It's a great idea to have them for all the ladies in the bridal party so you can use them together when you go to the spa! Do you mind sharing how much they were?
For favours, we are going to give heart-shaped measuring cups that come in a fancy looking box with a tag on it saying 'love beyond measure'! We thought our guests could use them for baking for Christmas since our wedding is in December right before Christmas! They are about $5.00 each. -

Ladies,
I have a question for the Dreams brides who were married there.
Cecilia indicated that the packages are subject to a 5-hour limit (1 hr for ceremony, 1 hour of reception, 3 hours for dinner).
Can someone please clarify what that means:
- Are the after ceremony photos subject to a one-hour limit?
- If you don't have a cocktail hour, can that be moved to the reception to make it 4 hours?
- What happens if you need more time? Someone said you had to pay for the drinks and service of $22 per guest for every hour above the limit. Is this true?
- What if you don't want any more drinks and service past the 3-hour dinner but want to hang out and dance, do you still have to pay?
Additionally, are there extra charges for table linens? Can you take your own?
Sorry, too many questions but your help will be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Ladies,
Don't panic. My fiance just came back from Mexico. He was there in the middle of the flow outbreak. All of them (fiance and friends) came back with no signs of flu. Considering this is a resort, I would not worry about it.
For those who are getting married in May - I think it will be a beautiful time to get married and regardless of whether your guests will come or not, as long as your close family members attend, that's all that would matter to me. If anything, the resort will most likely not be too crowded and you and your guests will be able to enjoy the resort and be able to eat at all the a la carte restaurants without making advance reservations.
Think about it - the salon/spa will not be crowded. The reception area will not be crowded! And because of the low tourism due to the flu, I bet the WC will likely cater to your needs better. Maybe get better deals on a DJ/photographer?
This is as an opportunity!
All the best with your weddings! Be sure to share your stories!

Hello everyone,
I have searched on this thread for reviews on the free wedding packages. Is anyone doing the free wedding with the ceremony and the reception at Dreams Cancun?
I just need information on how the reception setup will work - is going to be semi-private like in a terrace of the restaurant or is it going to be right inside the restaurant with other people and kids running around? Please help!
*Frustrated*
Thanks!

Ladies,
Since most of us are brides to be, I believe if we work together, we can negotiate great deals for all of us.
I am in the midst of researching great photographers and I have heard of this Swiss photographer who does an amazing job! The resort photographer seems to just take quick and simple photos as he may do so many weddings and has no incentive to do a great job.
If you are interested in negotiating group prices, then we can find a photographer and ask for group discounts for xx number of weddings at the Dreams Cancun!
We can do the same for the DJ, photographer, flowers, etc if you are interested send me a quick note.

Hello,
I am getting married in December 2009.
We are getting the Ultimate Wedding Package which is includes dinner for 20 guests - what happens if you have additional guests? Is it really about $100 Cdn per additional person? Is that negotiatiable?
Also, do you have a good photographer to suggest that offers reasonable prices?
Thank you for your help!

Stacey,
Thank you for the great review! I am getting married at Dreams in December 2009.
We are purchasing the Ultimate Wedding Package, which includes dinner/service for upto 20 guests.
It seems you guys had more than 20 guests - how did you arrange the dinner for the additional guests? What was the costs if you don't mind me asking as am making a list of people to invite!
Thank you for your help!

Thanks for your detailed review, Lana!
I am getting married in December 2009 - so I found your review helpful as we are having about 20-30 guests and getting the Dreams Ultimate Package. I was first in contact with Gaby but she does not work there anymore - they have Cecillia. Do you know much of that WC? I wonder if I should work with Daniela?
I love your pictures! Can you please provide me the contact information of your photographer? Your pictures look amazing and I would love to use your photographer - if you don't mind me asking, do you have any cost information related to the photography?
Thank you so much!

Hello,
My name is Keslea and I am getting married at the Dreams Cancun in December of 2009.
I have recently started the wedding planning process and I am hoping that I will be able to get useful information from other brides to help with the planning process. As well, as I plan my wedding, I would like to offer my help in any way possible!
I read some great posts about weddings at Dreams Cancun however there has no been little to no information available with costs associated with the planning of the wedding so I am hoping to obtain some information/help with the costs that go with the planning, i.e., we will be having 30-40 guests, purchasing the Ultimate Dreams Package (which covers dinner for 20 guests). What about additional guests? DJ costs? MC costs? Photographer?
I am looking forward to hearing from some of you!
Thank you!

Ok guys, I just got married on December 17 2009. The wedding was great but there were definately some issues. I will be writing my wedding review and will post the full details.
The main issue was with the officient/priest who did the ceremony, her name was Roxane Fernandez. If you want your wedding to turn out descent, I will avoid Roxane Fernandez. She did the entire ceremony backwards and had no clue what she was doing. I was extremely upset with her. She made us sign the wedding certificate as we stepped into the gazebo. She did not even introduce us to the party. Then she made us put on the wedding bands without reading anything!! She never told us to face each other and hold hands, I figured we had to do that when we were exchanging vows. The wedding was great but the ceremony is one of the most important part and she really really screwed that up. I was absolutely furious with her. She did not even showed up to the rehearsal. Furthermore, we were running a little late and she saw an opportunity to ask for money by saying she had a wedding in half an hour in the Mayan Riviera (which is clearly a lie because our ceremony was at 2:30pm and she had a wedding in the Mayan Riviera at 3pm? How can that be possible if she had to drive there and do our ceremony?). I will post her photos if I have any so no other bride can feel like crying after her ceremony.
Cecilia Rangel was great. The flowers and the decorations at the ceremony were amazing. She did a two-storey cake for us instead of the one-storey that came with the package. She gave us extra flowers, sand ceremony set, etc. She has a 6-year old daughter who is absolutely adorable. I recommend any brides to take a gift for her little girl as that would be a good way to start the planning session.
The video turned out great too.
We flew Critsey Rowe and Thomas Geist to do our photography. Here is the link to our TTD photos: Selina + Erick = Mexico Wedding | Charlotte Wedding Photographer - Critsey Rowe
Critsey Rowe is an unbelievable person and a great photographer. She went above and beyond and did way way more than we expected. She even acted as a bridesmaid and a coordinator when needed. Critsey and Thomas made the wedding very enjoyable and the photos are definately worth it. I think photos last a lifetime so it was a great choice we made. I will be doing a full review on Critsey Rowe and Thomas Geist.
Anyways, I really wish if anyone had a bad experience with the priest/officient that they had told me. So I thought I would let the new brides know. I don't know if she has ever done a wedding before? Even I knew some of the basics
