Both weddings look fabulous! Glad it all went so well for you.
-
We used travelers checks to to avoid fees on our cc for purchases out of the country. It was safe and easy.
-
We used an outside photographer. You do not recieve any discounts if you don't use something in the package. I also had my own make up artist and there was not a discount and no one else could use that part.
-
I just went back to our pricing we paid $200 for 1/2 hour sax. Are you sure it's $350? I would agree that it's not worth $350. That's outrageous.

I was told when I was planning that they only do one wedding per day. You can move the time of the ceremony if you want to. I think ours was at 5 because you can't start your recpetion at the cascade pool until 7 and I didn't want that much time in between. For our weddding it was SUPER hot for the ceremony and the reception (I think it was the hottest day of the trip). We used the cascade pool which is beautiful and I would do it again there but because it is surrounded by buildings and away from the water there wasn't really a breeze.

If you are doing a legal ceremony you have to use the judge. He does not do legal weddings from what I understand. Rick's fee is $300.
-
We were married in November and our options were a judge for a legal wedding or the WC for a symbolic. We were having symbolic but wanted a religous person to perform our ceremony so we contacted Rick York on our own. Not sure if you can book him through EPC now or not.

I'm pretty sure I asked that and they need you to be there 3 days ahead to essentially plan your wedding. There is a lot that they have to prepare on their end.

I had the same vases 3/table. I packed them very well in a suitcase and only one broke. I did check them. I wrapped each in the paper from the store, bubble wrap and the beach towels from the OOT bags.

It sounds like the options have changed since November. We had a silver package that included food and liquor for 20 people and we had to pay I think $45 per person over that for food and liquor. I'm not sure where the see and sea bar is I haven't heard of that. Seems to me like you would have to pay extra if you have more than 20 people anyway because they have to eat.

Oh my...I'm interested to hear what happened. I hope nothing to to bad.

The bags were pretty nice in my opinion. I mean they surely aren't land ends canvas but everyone loved them. a lot of people are still using theirs. But for 4 bucks you can't beat it.
My dress is maggie sottero.

If you want to send me your email I can send pics.
They are I believe 30X60 and I have aqua and a blue.

There are two EPC threads on here that you will find very helpful. You can also read my review or search for others reviews of EPC....it's wonderful

We had several people say oh yea i'll book i'll book. They waited until last minute and flights were over $1000 from boston to Punta Cana needless to say some people didn't come and a few had to suck it up. The rest of us paid under $500 because we booked super super early. I will say with the rooms though that the prices went down dramactically in august for our november wedding. If anything encourage people to book their flights. The TA was able to rebook everyone at the lower rates but it was a process.
So bottom line really encourage people to book their flights early.

Our welcome party was a cocktail party where we gave our guests their welcome bags and just had a good time.
Our invites were ordered through the White Aisle. We designed them and she printed them and ordered the silk boxes through thailand...the woman was very ill during our process so I can't say I would recommend going through her.

There are hundreds of reviews on resorts. You may consider reading through them to help you decide. There is a ton of information on this site you just have to do some digging.

$300 for the ceremony
-
The one wedding I saw with a judge he did not speak english. The coordinator would translate. I also think that they only use the judge when it is a legal ceremony not for the symbolic.
-
Roxy it is anywhere from 45 mins to an hour from the airport. you have to book transportation but are able to book for a fee through the hotel. Our TA did the transport for us.
Glad my review helped!

I went in October and there were none but at our wedding in November they were pretty bad. think it depends on the rain and the wind. Either way bring deet.
