  1. THank you so much Cynthia, the extra advice helps and is comforting. ONe last questions (I hope). You mentioned in your review that you purchased decor and brought it with you. How much of it? I'd like white lanterns and lights. Do you suggest I let the WC's handle this or would I save a substantial amount if I bring lighting stuff with me? IF so, how did you travel with your stuff, suitcase or checked box, or did you send it ahead of time?

Thanks for taking time on all of this!

  2. That's a great review Cynthia, thank you! I'm getting married at Casa cosmos on Oct. 12 and have been working with Michael and Eva from Vallarta weddings. Your review of them sounds spot on. They do take a little while getting back, but they know it. When they do get back to me they've taken cared of whatever it is I've inquired about. So far so good. Beautiful wedding! Let me know if there's anything you can think off the top of your head that you would suggest but forgot to include.

    Thanks again!

  3. Thanks k&R I'll check out bleu.

Danililly-The WC Vallarta Weddings (Michael and Eva) require you give them a deposit to be able to get into their members only links. They provide lot's of pics and options regarding restaurants/catering, musicians, pics of flowers, cakes, photographers and their websites. I've picked most of my stuff through that. It's been really easy. And, If I can't make up my mind...they'll give me their honest opinion. The catering section has sample menus and pricing as well. But, someone mentioned they're very buisy on their post. It's true, however, I've never waited longer than a week for a response. I think April-July seem to be their busiest time of year.

    Good luck!

  4. We're doing ours at a villa. We invited about 163, but are really hoping for a max. of 90. So far, we have 47 yes and 29 no.

As far as coordinator we're going with Vallarta Weddings (Michael and Eva). They charge a flat rate. The website is Vallarta weddings, I believe. They've been great so far. I'm aiming for a budget of 20K, though I'm sure I'll go a little over. But so far, it's looking doable.

  5. Getting married in Puerto Vallarta in October 2008. A little nervous that I won't really see anything till the day, but relieved at the same time.

Anyway, I kept browsing the forums on the site and found a lot of useful information as well as answers to some questions I had, so decided to join.

Happy to be here, happier when I get to Mexico!
