  1. I have 3 items for sell that I never wore on my wedding day (9/13/0cool.gif.

As I am sure you have all learned, bridal items have a limited/no return policy...

#1) A size 24 ball gown slip, asking $30 (I think the store called it a 1 puff layer slip). I paid $68 for it and decided 2 weeks before the wedding it made my dress too short. I am 5'10, so that is a huge concern for me. This item is easy to alter, so if your 2 or 3 sizes in either direction we can make it work. I have sewing skills and can help do this. The link below is not the exact one, but it is very close.

    David's Bridal - Accessory 795 Full slip.

#2) 44FF long line bra, originally $50, Asking $30. I ordered it on line and it did not fit with my dress right. It showed!

Goddess Smooth Underwire Longline Bra 690 - Goddess Bras

#3) Tiara-I paid $115, asking $70. I decided the day of to go with out jewelry. I did not even wear earrings or necklace. it is only a inch or so high with pearls...I am trying to take a good photo, but its proving difficult

->I am still in search of a link for your viewing<-

Email me if interested, I will try to get better pics if there is serious interest.

    Honeymoon

We booked the Roman Honeymoon Concierge Room in the Genoa building. I would say the concierge and 24 hour room service makes the room upgrade worth every single extra penny.

The bus ride, I honestly enjoyed, I know not many say that, but I really did. It was only 90 minutes and great views, I was snapping photos the whole way. But than again I love leaving the resort and seeing REAL Jamaica.

P.S. if you don't wanna tip the baggage handlers at the airport. Carry your own bags! You can so "no, thank you"...

Upon arrival I was whisked away to the concierge counter for private check in, while my new husband found our bags and got them off to the bell man. We were in our room, not 6 minutes after getting off the bus. After 18 hours of traveling from Oregon, we fell into the bed, ordered room service and napped till dinner time. Again, not all rooms have 24 hour room service.

The food was great at all the restaurants, never had to wait for a table. There are a few food items that are definitely better in the states, but remember its Jamaicans trying to cook American style food, not Americans cooking American food.

Loved the pizza, italian (made it there 2 times) and Kimonos (also, ate here twice). We never had lunch or dinner at the buffet restaurant, we had plenty of other choices. The breakfast buffet was ok, but my choice for breakfast was marco polos. No dress code for breakfast there and very little people. Often there was only one other table in use, while we dined for breakfast.

The staff was phenomenal! Always smiling, singing to themselves, saying hi, asking how everything is. Really everyone we encountered on the island was great, not just the staff. I did encounter one grumpy staff member at the pizzeria, but maybe it was a bad day for him....we all have them...

Florence and Neal (the concierege staff) thank you for helping us with everything, including our cabana rental!

I will say, be sure to keep your "do not disturb" sign up when your in your room, housekeeping does open the door quickly after knocking.

I loved the turn down service, they always came while we were at dinner and about every other night we got a cute note/memento with the turn down service . I think, when they take your room number at the restaurants they then call and let house keeping know your out of your room.

IT WAS A GREAT TRIP! I cant wait to return...I could not have imagined a better honeymoon...Feel free to email me any questions or comments you have, I want to help you make your trip as special as mine. [email protected]

Also, feel free to email me for pictures of my trip and the beautiful resort

  4. My husband made this all on his own, in one day with no prompting from me, I wasnt even home. I am so proud of him!

What a beautiful surprise for our 1 month anniversary, which is today! There are a few things I would have done differently, but it is great none the less...It includes pictures from the bachelorette party, bridal shower, wedding and the honeymoon at Sandals Dunns River, Jamaica!

    The Adobe Resort

    Yachats, Oregon

The ceremony was supposed to be outdoors in the sand, but some insane fog and wind rolled in 30 minutes prior to the ceremony...So we decided on inside, but I still braved the wind for my photos. That explains the crazy hair in some of the photos.

Go to this link to view a small selection of photos. I think we ended up with over 300....Dont worry this link only has 19 photos....

Login to a private Photobucket.com album

Some people say they need a password. If you need one it is sophie.

Pictures from the honeymoon at Sandals Dunns River, Jamaica will be coming soon

  6. Titanium Wedding Band Ring

This is the ring we got, he is a carpenter, so we do run the risk of not getting it removed in an accident, but he doesnt think he will wear it much anyways.

I suggest going cheap. no more than $100, I personally know lots of guys that have lost their rings repeatedly. Guys dont wear jewelry often, so its always falling off.

I know 3 guys that lost theirs on the honeymoon...so keep an eye on it, no one wants it lost that quick!

  7. We are going with a flower girl only!

We are having our mom's sign as witnesses.

I decided to have no bridal party for purely selfish reasons. It is our special day and we want to be the only ones walking down the aisle and we want to be the only ones my guests look at....

How many times in your life do you get a whole day where everyone focuses on you?

  8. I am very concerned about forgetting something at home. I have searched the internet for a list with no luck. I am hoping to find one made by a wedding planner or something close to. If not, I am willing to take a look at one you made.

I want it to include the basics and the obscure things that are necessary and come in handy on wedding day.

  9. You will have a great time I love Vegas! But the FH wouldnt let me get away with a vegas wedding.

Vegas weddings are so much fun! I have been to 2, the most recent was in April at the MGM. It has to go down as the craziest wedding ever! 97 guests (all flew in, could you imagine planning a 100 person out of state weddinghuh.gif), open bar, 3 different guests stripped for us as part of the money dance. All tips went to the couple!

  10. My name is Shannon. I am getting married September 13th 2008 in Yachats, Oregon (its on the southern part of the oregon coast). It is about 3 hours from our home in Portland, Oregon, some might not call that a destination wedding, but I do.

We are going to Sandals Dunns River, Jamaica for our Honeymoon.
