  1. I'm sorry ladies...I'm really confused. I'm planning for our wedding at Dreams Los Cabos resort for July 4, 2009. My fiance and I are planning on having our legal ceremony in Los Cabos at Dreams. Has anyone does this? If so, have you had difficulties with getting legally married in Mexico. We are going to arrive that Tuesday June 30, 2009 to handle the paper work and blood work. I'm just trying to understand why most of you got legally married in the US instead of Mexico. Was it just for money reason, since it was cheaper? I just want to make sure we are making the right decision and will not have any issues with our marriage being legally recognized in the states. any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Ladies thanks so much! As I'm sure your aware this can be a frustrating process. I know how I am, and I like someone who is responsive to my needs. I just need to figure out whether the Dreams wedding coordinator or outside coordinator will suit my needs. I think I may be leaning towards working with the Dreams Coordinator, as I have heard nothing but great things about all of them. I think I can deal with a slow response, as opposed to paying someone $3200. We'll see!! More suggestions/opinions are welcomed. Congrats to the both of you. :-)

    I need your help! I'm trying to decide whether to hire an outside wedding coordinator or go with the Dreams Wedding Coordinator (Yessica). My fiancé and I are planning for 75 guests to attend (TBD). As such, I'm trying to get an understanding of Yessica's responsibilities when planning our wedding. Does Yessica work with outside vendors if Dreams does not provide the details we want (i.e. flowers, cake, music, and photography)?? We were thinking about going with the Dreams Ultimate Wedding Package, but I know this package is only for 20 guests, and only provides 50 some pictures with this package. So, if I did not want the standard cake and photographer that Dreams provides, would Yessica work with outside vendors to get this? Or would I need to hire an outside wedding coordinator to do this??

     

    I need to figure out whether paying an outside wedding coordinator a $500.00 deposit, plus a coordination fee of $2800.00 is really worth it. Or would Yessica provide everything that I need or at least recommend vendors that could assist me? I'm just not sure what to do. I know planning for 75 guests is a little more on the larger scale, so that is why I was considering hiring an outside wedding coordinator. However, I want someone who will work for me and I don't want to waste $3200.00, when I could have really done a lot of this on my own.

     

    For those past brides that were married at Dreams, and used an outside wedding coordinator please provide your thoughts. For those that used the Dreams wedding coordinator, please provide your thoughts as well. I need to make a decision by 6/1/08. I appreciate any help/advice.

  4. Hi Ladies,

     

    In speaking with Yessica several times today, she keeps informing me that I need to pay for my hotel stay at Dreams Resort in order to lock in our wedding date. Is this true? Did anyone else have to do this? I wasn't prepared to pay in full 3,600 dollars (now) to book our hotel stay with Dreams in order to lock-in our wedding date. what.gif In addition, we will have to put another $3,000 dollar deposit down in order to block our guest rooms with the hotel. Yessica informed me that she will need to receive our confirmation number before she can lock-in our date and start planning for our wedding. I just wanted to know if anyone else has gone through this? Any help would be appreciated.

     

    I was prepared to pay a deposit to block my guests rooms, but I'm not prepared to pay my hotel room stay for 7 nights in full, in addition to the deposit for my guests. I think this is a lot of money up front!!

  6. My fiance and I are looking to book Gabby from Baja Weddings as our wedding coordinator for our Wedding at Dreams Resort. Has anyone worked with Gabby? If so, how is she?

     

    Also, would anyone of you recommend going with a wedding coordinator outside of Dreams Resort hotel? I have sent emails back and forth with Yessica from Dreams, but not sure whether I should go with an oustide wedding coordination agency?

     

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm new to this site and I'm planning a wedding at Dreams Resort for June 2009. Would any of you have updated Dreams Menu packages? I'm trying to get an idea of price. I've sent an email to the wedding coordinators at Dreams last week, and have yet to hear a response. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!
