I am selling my never worn Mori Lee wedding gown for $350.  The dress was originally purchased to be used as my TTD, but I ended up wearing my wedding day gown.

Thanks everyone! Trust me when I tell you Del Sol will not disapoint! Court we used Apple Vacations for our travel arrangements. The agency we used (Colony Travel) was not a favorite for my guests.

 

Here is some advice I would give you:

Dont stress about the planning. No matter what happens Mexico is gorgeous and your wedding will be amazing.

Dont worry if the wedding coordinator does not respond to you right away. They are extremely busy and most of the planning gets done when you get to the resort. I would definately reccomend traveling a day before your guests. It can be hectic trying to get wedding stuff done when your being pulled in 80 directions.

Find a photographer that focuses on quality, like Del Sol. Dont settle for someone because they are cheaper then someone else. You definately get what you pay for.

 

My biggest piece of advice is really to just enjoy yourself.

I am sorry it has been so long since my last post. I never realized how busy life can be after your married! Anyway, I couldnt wait any longer to share my review and pictures with everyone.

 

My husband and I just got married on 5/15/10 @ Dreams Riviera Cancun. It was absolutely amazing and the happiest day of our lives. Planning a destination wedding can be such a challenge. There are so many unknowns and if your an A type personality like me it can be very stressful and frustrating if you dont have the support you need to get through it. I was so so lucky to have come across this forum one day . Through this forum I have found the most wonderful wedding vendors. I can credit this forum for introducing me to Del Sol photography which through their amazing collection of photos on this Forum helped me to choose my destination and resort. I also found Zuniga productions who are amazing event planners.

 

About Del Sol Photography.....

Where should I begin....As I stated above I met Del Sol through this forum. It was through their creative eye and beautiful artistic photography that we knew Mexico was the perfect destination for us. We fell in love with Del Sol's work the minute we saw it (and honestly who wouldnt, its amazing).

 

Throughout the entire 2 years we were contracted with Del Sol I never once questioned the decision. Matt and Sol were available to me and my husband throughout the entire process. I could ask them any question and they would always help me through anything. Their response time was unbeatable....for the most part they answered within the same day! They always provided their honest opinion and are a great resource when trying to find the perfect resort. Its difficult to find this type of service when planning a destination wedding.

 

I can't say enough good things about Del Sol. Our experience with them was one that we will remember and cherish forever. Their work is unbelievable and speaks for itself. They have an amazing ability to capture beauty that other people may overlook. Matt and Rodrigo told the story of our wedding through their amazing eye. Everytime i go back through my photos I can see the emotion that was captured and the love that my husband and I have for each other. They only met us face to face once but they were able to capture who we really are. It was so important to me since so many of my friends and family couldnt attend our wedding to have this type of quality. They can truly appreciate how important this day is for all of us. If your lucky enough to book Matt and Sol together you'll see how passionate and fiery they can be together. We were so lucky to have them both at our TTD session. The love they have for each other truly shows through their work.

Hi everyone.

 

I've been reading through all of the posts. I see a lot of people are frustated about the turn around time from the wedding coordinators. I went through this same frustration as well. I started my planning almost a year and a half ago. Rest assured as your wedding gets closer (probably 4-5months out) the responses become a lot quicker! Also, I noticed that when I copy my travel agent on the emails the response is much quicker!

 

I also mentioned to Ana that I've read a lot of complaints regarding the privacy of the ceremony. She assured me that they are aware of this issue and are working to have this resolved. I'm just hoping its resolved very soon.

 

I've also noticed the inconsistency of the pricing. There have been several occasions where I have asked for a price and then a few weeks later I get a different price. This is why it is so important to keep all of your emails from her.

My wedding is also in May. This is what my photographer reccomended for the time:

Here is what we send to clients to recommend ceremony start times, for optimum light conditions.


if you want to consider the OPTIMAL light for photography in the evening, 30 minutes before sunset and 30 minutes after sunset, so called the "golden hour")


For planning the start time of your ceremony, we would like you to consider a few things:


If your ceremony time will be under 15 minutes, we recommend starting the wedding 45 minutes before the scheduled sunset.
If your ceremony time will be 20-30 min, we recommend starting the wedding 55 minutes before the scheduled sunset.

Have you decided where your going to have your reception? Ana has made me feel a lot better and so did speaking with you on Facebook. My biggest concern was the music. I am having a DJ and I asked ANa if are reception is right next to each others (which it will be if mine is at the deck and yours is by the pool) would the music be a problem. I know we're both going to have an amazing day no matter what.

The wedding isnt the same time but the reception is the same time. My wedding is at sunset.

Hi everyone! Its been such a long time since I was on the forum. School has kept me very busy lately. I wanted to take a minute to break away from my hectic lif to share with everyone some photos Ana sent me of the deck and the pool area for the reception.

 

Has anyone decided what location to have their ceremony at?

 

There is another wedding on the same date as mine so I originally nervous I wouldnt get the deck (thats what I wanted all along) and now I'm nervous that if the other bride chooses the pool area her party will be right next to mine. Ana has assured me that everything will be perfect but I worry too much.
