We chose The Fives over The Sensatori. BOTH resorts look gorgeous. We kept going back and forth between which resort we wanted.Quote:

When asking our TA how to compare the two this is what she had to say in an email. "As for the differences between the resorts it will be more of a sense of the 5's will be in Playa, so it will be a more active resort and the other onewill probably have a more relaxed beach feel to it. The beach at 5's will also be larger" I left it up to my FI and he chose The Fives.

So I loved the idea of sending my future bridesmaids cards in the mail to ask them to be in our wedding party. Only problem is I DONT want them to feel obligated incase they are not able to make the commitment to come with us to Mexico. I'm sure there are girls on here who have given these cards before..So I am just curious as how to word it in a cute way that I would love for them to be my bridesmaid but without the pressure?
Any suggestions

The Azul Fives is opening Dec.1st, so they are runnign an amazing promotion to get people to stay at their resort. We are planning on getting married in October '09 and our TA quoted us $1000 pp for 7 days..def a price that people will never see again!!

At first we were thinking to have an AHR, but the more and more we thought about it it wasn't really worth it! We are inviting 150 people to our wedding, and I bet 50-70 people don't come. We are having a reception after the wedding in Mexico, and to have all those people again at our AHR plus only those extra 50ish people doesn't make sense. An AHR isn't in our budget...the party is the most expensive part! We are having our legal ceremony in my parents back yard before we leave for Mexico, and the only people who will be there are our parents,siblings,and grandparents who aren't able to fly to Mexico.
Best of luck in your planning, don't feel obligated to have a reception for the people who can't make it to your wedding!!!!!! -

So my FI and I STILL have not picked a resort but we have narrowed down our options, and one of them is the new ai resort in Playa Del Carmen called Azul Fives. My TA told me abou this resort today..so I am excited. The resort is said to be opening on Dec 1, 08.The neat thing about Azul Fives is that they offer both AI and EP!!
Just curious if there are any other brides to be out there that are considering this resort
I am a little nervous about it being new, but I'm guessing that they should have major issues figured out 10 months out when we plan to get married in Oct 09. She assured me that they will go above and beyond for weddings at their location because they are a karisma owned resort. Is anyone else considering Azul Fives??Check out some of these pics!! (obviously most of these are computerized model pictures of what things will look like but you get the idea)

We are planning to do one bag per room. My FI feels the same way as yours it's alot of money to spend and we are already spending so much money on other things. BUT at the same time it's a nice thank you to your guests for making the commitment to be at your wedding.

I did walk through the pool area with my mom on the way to the ceremony. the people didn't bother me. I wouldn't have liked them right there during the ceremony though. They were far enough back that i never noticed anyone was watching until i saw the pictures & video.

I am so excited to see your video...the description of the lagoon sounds amazing!! Which resort were you married at? About the people obviously it's a resort and other people are staying there too, I just don't want people in their speedos gawking...ew!! Do you have any idea where ana y jose were married? Thank you!!
