Glitterbug -- your pictures are AMAZING! I am looking into Aruba as a potential location as we plan on getting married in Aug 2009 and we want to avoid the hurricanes.

 

i was wondering if you had some insight on dealing with their wedding coordinator, overall review and any suggestions?

Yes, i would def put OFF! in your OOT bags and maybe some Caladryl! Its the wet season in November still so there are quite a bit of mosquitoes. During the day it's fine, its only starting at dusk. I was in Akumal Beach Resort from Oct 31-Nov 5 in 2007 and i seriously came back with at least 10 bites. I forgot to bring anti-itch cream so suffered...

i'm sure you and your guests will be fine though! dont let the mosquitoes ruin your special day!!

thanks!!! we're thinking October so hopefully it wont be an issue but it sounds like its OK even if there are multiple weddings on the same day.

 

 

now i just have to deal with the mosquito issue that month... i went ot the caribbean in early Nov this past year and there were mosquitoes when the sun was setting!

We are looking at either Mexico (riveria maya or cancun), Punta Cana or Jamaica. I want to make it budget friendly for my guests so those are the places that have great flight prices from NYC and AIs.

 

Probably about 40-50ppl max.

hi! My name is Christina and will be getting married in 2009. I feel like most members have secured a date and venue but I am still looking and was told this was the best place to find out the best information and get advice. (although, do i have to have a date and venue to join this forum?)
